Hi, can anyone share the way these custom import duty are counted? I found the old version here but as you know we got GST. Pls share the new one.

@kherel77. It's a silicone product(like smartphone case). Origin is China. The weight probably is 3KG. Total is $280(including shipping). Do you have the formula to count this import duty? Thanks.

@kherel77. That is very precise calculation. I would have given you a thumbs up or add your reputation if possible(couldn't find the button to do that) thumbup.gif . BTW, how do you find the product code? Where do you get it? How do you get the IATA freight rate? Can you provide a formula for a taxable item? Thank you.

Edited: Sorry, it was RM1203.58(after converted), not RM280.

@kherel77, let's just assume the item that I am trying to buy is taxable. For example, maybe PC accessories or something taxable. What is the formula? The previous formula is non-taxable. Right? BTW, it's really nice to have someone from Kastam here. Thank you for your help.

@kherel77, what if i bought something that cost RM480 and the shipping is free? Does the seller still need to include the shipping invoice? So far, small items that i bought on eBay doesn't provide it but that's because it's a small packet. Is free shipping needed to be written on the invoice? Appreciate if you can provide full guide on free shipping thing. Thanks. smile.gif

kherel77, how to count the 6% GST? Total of items + shipping? Does all items imported from overseas have GST?
