I thought you'd need SIRIM approval as well for electronic devices?

Anyways, I want to ask, what if I buy a board only amp module? Will I need to get SIRIM approval?
I was thinking of asking the seller to label it under "DIY PCB", or "DIY PCB + Components", do you guys think it won't need the SIRIM? tongue.gif

Has anybody bought rechargable batteries from overseas before?

I'm considering buying a pair of 9V Li-ion batteries with a charger. The shop is at Singapore. Will it be held in Kastam, do I need SIRIM approval?

If I buy an item from overseas, and ship it to Labuan, will it be taxed?
Also, what if I ship stuff that isn't taxed in Labuan but is taxed in mainlands of Malaysia (such as automotive stuff), will taxed be imposed on those things too?
