KonKam .. my set is a 18V NiCad set. Do you have any recommendations for the battery customisers ? I can't change to Ni-MH or Li-Ion because my charger would not charge the new battery chemistry.

Kherel77 .. I was just wondering what is the tax calculation like if someone bring it in via KLIA/KLIA2 and get tax. Would the Customs take the flight ticket price as Shipping cost as CIF ?

QUOTE(kherel77 @ Nov 19 2015, 09:03 AM) Just saw your question. Sorry, I not sure if using about this... Total cost of my item is usd1185. So I have to pay about 36% which mean about rm2000. How if I tell supplier to fake the price? Like about usd 500. will I get lower tax fee? Sorry for my English.30% Import duty + 6% GST for most cable type.... |

QUOTE(LouisLord @ Nov 19 2015, 12:22 PM) That's not the correct way to calculate total duty & import. Refer my post earlier regarding duty & tax calculation.QUOTE(LouisLord @ Nov 19 2015, 12:22 PM) How if I tell supplier to fake the price? Like about usd 500. will I get lower tax fee? Sorry for my English. Good luck with that even-though i'm not recommend it...1. Customs know average pricing for all item, and they have reference for item pricing from their surveyor. 2. It will trigger Customs curiosity when it's bulk item but with low price. But, in the end..it's up to you to try the risk... |

I heard dhl provide to take care of custom tax. Of course I need to pay to them too. But will it be lower or higher? And how to pay and payment methods. And how to pay and payment methods. You know about this? Do not take it wrongly. Yes, DHL will take care the declaration procedures with Customs (all courier agent also will do this) but they can't decide to decrease or increase the taxes. It's all up to Customs. The trick is you split the shipment until the CIF price of each shipmet is not exceed RM500, then you can claim duty/tax exempted under Customs Duties Exemption Order 1988 Item#172: QUOTE Any goods below RM500 CIF value using air courier services thru KLIA, Subang, Bayan Lepas, Senai, KK & Kuching airport will be duties/taxes exempted except cigarettes, liquors & tobaccos. You can opt cash on delivery with DHL. This post has been edited by kherel77: Nov 20 2015, 12:13 AM |

Hi. I am planning to buy sports accessory/equipment in bulk through alibaba. It is made of leather. Will I get taxed and if so, by how much? Thanks in advance.
Called up custom line and they asked for HS code. Asked supplier for HS code and supplier said there isn't one. This post has been edited by iceblendedmonkey: Nov 27 2015, 11:37 PM |

hi people out there, wanna ask, if i import Dell Alienware Alpha (pc desktop console) from USA by the help of my fren. When it reaches Malaysia, will there be any duty or tax or gst imposed? how to calculate that?
In fact I already Google a lot and still can't get a correct answer. I am totally new and really intend to import this device from USA. In terms of international shipping, what courier service company is recommended? Secure, safe and budget wise. Thanks. |

Do refer to this website. http://tariff.customs.gov.my/ I've been asking around and different ppl told different thing. If you search with the keyword "toys", you will find tariff code with the header 8504 and 9503 (I am not sure which one is action figures categorized under exactly, but should be either one). No import duty for those. So 6% GST should be imposed if you declared it correctly QUOTE(genzi0401 @ Nov 28 2015, 03:12 PM) hi people out there, wanna ask, if i import Dell Alienware Alpha (pc desktop console) from USA by the help of my fren. When it reaches Malaysia, will there be any duty or tax or gst imposed? how to calculate that? Most of the computer parts do not have custom duty imposed (only GST) so I suppose full set desktops are the same. In fact I already Google a lot and still can't get a correct answer. I am totally new and really intend to import this device from USA. In terms of international shipping, what courier service company is recommended? Secure, safe and budget wise. Thanks. Source: http://tariff.customs.gov.my/ header 8471 - Comprising in the same housing at least a central processing unit and an input and output unit, whether or not combined You will want to consider DHL/FEDEX to ship it over, based on my past purchase DHL has been really swift in both custom clearance and delivery. Not to mention its superb phone support which caters to your request accordingly. Do note that DHL will charge additional RM50 handling for custom clearance and the freight charge is higher.
