Edit: Got my answer in another thread. In case anyone's wondering, Import duty (or whatever they call it) is 5% of goods + shipping + insurance costs.

Anyone have experience getting high value or rare books through customs without having to go through Ministry of Home Affairs? Hey sifu sifu, anyone purchased strings from overseas can enlighten me? These are strings for racket sport (badminton/squash/tennis). Some of my friends kena, some of my friends tak kena.

My total amount incl delivery cost is USD109, roughly MYR506.xx. Courier service UPS. Any idea supposed to kena charges or not ya?
