Yes.

Hi, I'm planning to buy a sneaker that will be shipped from the US. The sneaker costs AROUND USD180, which is around rm 700, will I still be taxed? I've heard that the minimum taxable amount has risen from 500 to 800 this year. Thanks!

Hi, I'm planning to buy MVMT watch online. It's FREE standard shipping but stated subject to tax and duty depend on shipping country.

So, what is the amount that will be taxed? And if the item value is 100 USD, the tax amount is in what currency?

Thanks.

Hi, may I ask if there is any restriction for the weight of the parcel that I shipped in from overseas? This will be the 1st time I shipped in parcel tat is above 20kg. Will there be additional taxes due to the weight of the parcel?

None that I know off regarding extra charges because of weight i've shipped something heavier or around that weight before.

If your item is taxable, I can see highter amount of tax since customs will tax you the total amount of item price + shipping

So example you bought something that is 20% taxable and is lightweight, tax will be lower compared to something that is 20% taxable and is heavy since you will be paying higher for shipping heavy items

Weight restriction is only on your shipping agent/forwarder/courier limitation. But weight will affecting duties/taxes calculation as IATA freight rate is base on shipment weight.

What you saw with 20% import duties is "glasses for watch or similar" under Tariff Code 7015, not complete set of watches.

Really depends if the item is taxable. If it's taxable how much would it be?

1. You can check tax amount here http://tariff.customs.gov.my/
2. Get price for shipping both 1 box and 2 boxes
3. compute where you will save more money

Hi, I plan to buy body lotion from iherb.com which ship directly from USA using DHL. Total price including shipping is below RM300.

Questions: Did I need to pay import taxes, customs duties, or a brokerage (handling) fee for the order above?

I no experience in buying from USA, appreciate if someone here can answer my question.

Thank you.
