Because they notice your hunt like crazy. Honestly, Hagen is a very low quality pellet, very very low. Somehow is it cheap that cos lot of GP owner go for this brand, and then stick with it. That's why hagen see a demand on the all of you, then raise la.

QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Mar 6 2009, 11:44 AM) Can i mix the Hay and the Bedding together? How to make the GP woo woo not so smelly? How regularly i should change his bedding? Hay need to change ma? 1 more thing how the GP cage look like? I saw in the internet their cage got wood around the corner so the hay/bedding dont fall out right? How about the bottom? The Bottom must also made of wood ma? No, you cant mix the hay and bedding together, it will go spoil very fast. You can put loose hay one side. GP is an animal, you can't stop the woo woo not to be smelly, but you can change the bedding daily by using a pee pan. All small animal need big cage, as big as you can offer them. |

QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Mar 6 2009, 12:06 PM) Thanks for the info about hay & Bedding. If i use bedding and they woo woo the bedding the smell won't so heavy one right? Do i need to change the bedding everyday or just few times a week? If using a pee pan, every day or every other day. Yes, when using bedding will help to bind the odor, provided u using the discern bedding.Added on March 6, 2009, 12:25 pm QUOTE(Juztiny @ Mar 6 2009, 12:20 PM) I bought my Hagen 5lb pellets between Rm15-16.50 in Cheras area. Bad thing with hagen is they dont fix a selling price to the pet shop, they give you free to sell in what ever price.I think Kaytee is quite good too..as I noticed those GPs were fed on Kaytee brand, their furs are much more softer texture and thicker in coat as compared to mine which were fed on Hagen. I'm going to try on Kaytee and see whether my GPs coat do have any difference to confirm my findings. This post has been edited by Chinchillas: Mar 6 2009, 12:25 PM |

QUOTE(chamyk2311 @ Mar 7 2009, 11:24 AM) Thanks SCCandy. Can anyone take a look at my pallets and hay whether it's correct or not. The hay is alfafa and the pallets got mixed with sunflower seed abit. I buy already mixed wan. And the pallets is abit hard. is it ok? You need a proper GP pellet, NOT RABBIT pellet. GP have slightly difference need compare with rabbit, they cannot take rabbit pellet WHICH does not include the daily need of Vit C. And the sunflower seed is absolutely a no no to rabbit. I am suprise that the text written in chinese on the bag is ALL LIE! You need to change it immediately. AND your combination of hay should be Timothy + small amount of alfalfa, not 100% alfalfa. If your GP is very weak and you pump in lot of alfalfa to him, he will die in diarrea in no time. Especially if your GP does not eat alfalfa before even from the seller's seller. |

QUOTE(kaoru himura @ Mar 11 2009, 01:24 PM) Hello everyone~~~! so long since i last visit here, i just got back frm the general hospital, admitted for denggi...so glad to make it out alive...miss my GP babies damn alot~! oh we're gonna hv a gathering? nice but too bad its in Saturday, i already start work tomorrow ar.... T_T u guys please takes lots of pics n post here ya~! ow.... I am glad you are ok now. You should continue rest well and take care of your self. Your GP should be in good care by your family members. btw got question...the ministry of health will do fogging in my area, i wonder is the fog dangerous to our dear GPs?i heard they use water-base solution (they did it once when i'm still admitted), there was no thick white fog while the process it done my mom said, only got faint smell of the medicine... she "sorok" all my GPs, gerbils and hammy in the kitchen and told the guy not to spray that area, but still i'm worried if the traces of fogging will harm them. |

all plant have stem.
GP or any small animal will avoid eating stem, cause they lazy to chew, so what you do is, ONCE a week you set a day as HAY DAY, cut the pellet potion to about 50% less then you usually feed them, or cut to 10% pellet only for that day. Once your pet hungry, they will stay to go for the hay. That will ensure their teeth begin trim nicely. |
