u got the same "mangkuk terbalik" like mine. same color summore!

and yes its too small even for my 4 months old GP. so i stick them togther using tape.

The piggie will scratch with its hind legs and reach round to bite its back, the hair will thin and break off at the shaft. The piggie will be jumpy and reluctant to be touched. It can even start to bite as a reaction to pain, and become grouchy.

Sugar u got the same cage as I am...I got 2 cages actually one is like urs and one is much bigger...Just clean the cage last night and today let them out and both hiding under the mangkuk...finally Bubble bond with me let me touch her and hold her.Happy abt it...been 2 months and finally they can accept me.soon will have lots of time to spend with them.

im getting this two cute things at end of this week. Prebooked ordi.

Errmm..got chew stone ar? I am not sure le..is that look like a stick of salt? I just want it for the GPs to chew on their teeth and also run down their nails...I just cant trim their nails accordingly...it will wheek like I want to kill them for food...pity when I hear it wheek this way...

Oh, well this week working for the last week so maybe will only visit the pet shops next week lo... after next week will be very free...Chew stone okay will keep an eye on it...have you tried to trim the nails yet?All my activities have to be schedules next week this week work whole 6 days lo...

If we put the bedding under the fleece will it more better?but dunno how to avoid it from making tunnel la...like DBKL when they make tunnel they will jump in happiness but I will be the one sad cos all places fly with bedding....eerrmm Geram till cant talk ar...

Not so big. 2 of them is 3-4 months n 1 is 7 months only. I am willing to make a DIY Cage for them. Can you guide me on making one? What should i use for their base? Even their hideing place i DIY for now cuz here don't have sell those kind of stuffs.

can i keep one gp only or is it advisable to keep two at once?

Is good that you research.. FYI.. i like pointing ppl to the right direction than to point them to the wrong direction too..
Also we cant just limit ourselves to reading pages here at LYN. There are a whole lot of other info out there There are also people who buy pets on the impulse (here in LYN) and end up knowing nothing.

@chabby - It isnt a lecture at all. Im explaining to you as a friend and as an avid pet lover. Look at what it has done to you now a good GP owner.. am i right? I dislike flaming.. i consider my posts as constructive response for those who are not aware. The very first info i read on GP's was 1 year ago and i just got my GP end of last year thats how long my research was. I was just waiting for the right time till i was ready to own them.

My dogs love to eat GP pellets and GPs' droppings too....whenever we feed GPs, the pellets dropped on floor, they would pick up and eat.  Even hay also they pick up and eat.

why you think that 200 is not enough for a good cage? can u please give me more info about it?

yes i download and actually read all about i can fro 3-4 days about the needs and emotional care for the GP.I made my 18 year old sister to read it too. i know just by theory reading is not enough or anygood at all and i personally think that 3-4 days of reading is not enough to take care of a GP.
i'm not buying them as a gift, i'm buying them as a maybe u can call bonding for my family and for them to have fun and something to treat about, no i don treat animal like a thing.

i once had a kitty, and she slept with me every night, i would put her beside my shoulder, when i wake up, she would be at my feet there, walk around my books when i'm studying, sat on my lap when i was watching movie, will come and touch me when  i was playing in front pc for too long, she was the best thing that happen to me, and she died 3 years later, we don't know wahts wrong with her, we took her to a vet, and the vet gave some medicine for us to squeeze inside her butt, it was CNY the 16th day of CNY, she was so sick, and i hold her in my arms whole day to make sooth of her pain. then i put her to my bed and when i scoop her up and my mom almost reach home coz i called her that kitty is very sick, then she died in my arms, her eyes, the shine just fade away, the soul is gone, and i cried for 3 days and 3 night, and i even am holding my tears now typing this. i still miss her badly.no other kitty can replace her in our hearts. we buried her with her toys. i hate the vet ever since, i know i should not blame others for her death and maybe it was my fault but i still hate the vet for not making her better.she was just only a baby in need of us to feed her milk by using a baby bottle, i fed her everytime she cried when she was a kitten.

so we all knew how to treat a pet  with respect , i know u guys are just worry that another pet gone stray, and i'm glad that people aren't ignorant to tell me that to think carefully before buying a pet, i talk with my sis and tell them, its gonna be messier than caring a hamster, cleaning, fresh food,fresh water and everything from head to toe is gonna be tedious. and i tell them that a GP is like a human child, they can be lonely, sad and depress. they cant accept fast movement as it would scare them, have to be handle gently and have to be cuddle everyday. i made my point clear to them already.

i can understand ur pain...the first nite is  the worst, i cant even sleep, i kept crying and crying and crying coz where i sleep is where she slept...my heart was like crush and then crush and then crush again and again..

she died when i was 18... now i'm 24, 6 years and still i am sad coz of her death. she loves everything i gave her, she was really smart,  but kinda funny coz she poo in the bathroom, and pee in the toilet =.=" strange huh, lol.i miss u kitty, i love u kitty..ur the best pet i've ever had and will always be T_T
