QUOTE(Juztiny @ Jan 15 2009, 11:31 AM) That's very normal. You should be happy as they are happy with their environment. When I put my piggies in the garden, they all run very fast up and down the whole garden, like a rabbit though. I'm surprised that they could really run very fast. Trying to catch them is so difficult with a wide open space. true true...i was so shocked to see my GP dash here and there during roaming time (i let them loose in my living room atleast an hour a day, coz me got no garden... ) they are very active means they are happy...love to watch them walk like a furry train (tailing each other) hahaha so cute! its ok nothing to be worried about, except for the flying mess lor....try using BCelect as beeding lor, its heavier then wood shave so it wont fly here n there...i change to BC coz of this reason too. plus its highly absorbant...

Added on January 19, 2009, 2:13 amQUOTE(sarvinG @ Jan 18 2009, 12:40 PM) I got a guinea pig too. I bought 2 but 1 died of diarea the day after i bought her. Is ok if i keep 1 only? Will it be lonely? And i've been feeding her palets only. Is it ok? its better to keep at least a pair...GP are social...wht breed is ur GP? male/female? Added on January 19, 2009, 2:22 amQUOTE(n3sbaby @ Jan 18 2009, 12:54 PM) Can you guys share with me what brand of pellets you guys currently feed to our GP? i saw there is prestige, oxbow, kaytee brand in the pet shop... i feed them HAGEN pallets. they love it so much. QUOTE(sweetcat @ Jan 19 2009, 09:12 AM) if is 7.80 piece, u shud buy 4. n join together. coz 2 is too small after the side u fold up btw, shud i bring my gp together with me to my penang trip or leave them at home for 2 days 2 nite un attend? i dont recommend leaving them unattended....who's gonna fill the pallets/hay/water? i leave my GPs 1 day oso got worried.... i once take them to port dickson on vacation (last raya haji) i dun see any problem as i put their cage next to me in the car, so i can make sure they are calm and comfortable but penang quite far...maybe you should ask sum1 to help u take care la...there are some who can do GP boarding, including me.

aha if Juztiny said can, so nothing to worry lor... just make sure they are comfortable and not stress. for me having a vacation in port dickson with them last time was very special, its fun yeah i live in klang, work in shah alam. somtimes i go subang to get my petsupply. so usually i meet my frens who need pet boarding around sunway/shah alam/klang to take their pets and bring back home lo. dunno whts the price for GP boarding, i'm not actually doing for money, i just love GP so i charge minimum wan. QUOTE(Chinchillas @ Jan 27 2009, 12:05 PM) Any brand that is made from recycle paper, like breeder celect. Since you are not using any toilet, then you can just use some wood shaving bedding that can get easily in any pet shop. izzit true recycle paper bedding are bad for gp when direct contact? nv heard of this b4....i always heard these bedding us the best...as its high absorbant and its heavier weight makes it not easily "fly" here n thereduring popcorning...care to elaborate more?

QUOTE(SugarCoatedCandy @ Jan 27 2009, 05:42 PM) Hie guys, i got a question.. does anyone knows where to get the grid pieces used to make the play pens of GP's? And where to get cloroplast too =x or.... its not advice able to make play pens for them? coroplast u can find in bookstores, eg: Popular...if you want thicker one u got to look in shops selling art stuff...i use the bookshop-quality coroplast as the base of my GP cage.

u can get good impartant information on how to take care of ur gp by reading the 1st page of this topic. we encourage all newbies to read it all (it might take some time, but it will answer most of your question) there is also links on some other sites dedicated to provide good info for GP owners. i hope this will help. Coco is cute!! it is not a gud idea to put lots of hay like that n mixed with the bedding as u need to clean the cage regularly coz GP poo n pee alot (unless they are toilet train then you will only need to change the toilet bedding) ur gp is still small and it might not eat that much, and coco might pee n poo on the hay also, that will be a waste coz you have to remove the dirty hay away... u can use processed recycled paper bedding (like Breeder Celect) or wood shavings (like Chipsi Classic) as beddings for the cage. i did read about corn bedding is not very suitable for GP...something about the smell and the absorbant level i think....forgot liao~ the small plastic container at the corner, izzit the pellet bowl? u should get a proper heavier (and deeper) bowl for the pellet, gp might turn the bowl upside down, sit over it or spill the pellet... hope this helps abit

QUOTE(katannaz @ Feb 4 2009, 06:40 PM) hii, i' new in here i have 4 gp abby i bought at jalan pasar pet shop but 2 female died already now 2 male still alive from +-3 month til now both active and eating 24hrs last 2 weeks i go to that shop, they still have 4-5 gp and still have male one pet world at mid valley also have. hope you will find one did you put all of them in 1 cage? i read that you can mix male and female together, but u can put only 1 male in the group. 2 males in a cage with female will fight, they might hurt the female GP oso....
