he really start to grow bigger...and so does his fur!!!! feel like want to groom him....

hi all!

recently i got my scrappy coco a mate.
turns out scrappy coco is a male! start humping the new GP all the time. and now i dont even know the new GP's sex. at pet store the salesman said its  a male. but why coco humping it all the time? Got homo guinea pig eh?

btw i just finished constructing a new cage for my GPs

i used that plastic board (that we as students always use to do manual presentation and so on).

now i have a BIG  sorta) "cage" for my GPs! 

the best part is it cost me rm20. lol.

how is the poo actually looked like when gp is having diarhea..
my gps poo kinda soft.. like chocolate powder.. not as solid and greenish dark like normal poo.. is tat diarhea?? inform me..

I feel very terrible ordi and devastated. whole day i tahan2 my tears..
Time for me to change their food. Do you think rabbit pellet is OK? saw the petshop always feed them that one. But here, the rabbit pellet is like no brand one. Issit ok?

Btw, i went to a pet shop, saw 1 abbys there. He was alone with the rabbits. I think i'll get it cos i want my Lisa to have a new friend so she can forget bout her child. I feel so bad cos this is her first time being a mother but lost all the babies.

Yes u mention numerous brand. If you understand my situation also, im in sarawak, there's no BRANDED FOOD pellet for GP. The petshop only sell the BENGY, JOLLY, BUNNY and no brand pellet. TO order the brand pallet that all of you had mentioned, it took 20 days and above.

my gp sleep inside her litter box  
when i "teach" her no to sleep over there coz very dirty
she give me an innocent face
grrrrrrrrrr

i think is the litter box is more secure to her
i m using something like food bowl but is rectangle shape
the size is ngam ngam for her body  

Does u guys using any bath sand for your guinea pigs?

May I know where we can buy those bricks ar?to put under the water bottle...

Errmm..got chew stone ar? I am not sure le..is that look like a stick of salt? I just want it for the GPs to chew on their teeth and also run down their nails...I just cant trim their nails accordingly...it will wheek like I want to kill them for food...pity when I hear it wheek this way...

Added on March 28, 2009, 5:37 pmTaking Jasper to Hand n Paws this morning because he was not feeling well (as he is not active as previous) but still drink and eat (but not much). After Dr.Jenny checked, she suspect that maybe be having bloat or so called foreign body obstruction. So she wrote me a letter to take a x-ray for him. After all the x-ray and checking, Dr.Jenny do give him an injection and also some antibiotic and etc......

I'm super worried now  as Jasper seems very tired and dont feel to eat but just drink a bit only when we reach home.

I'm planning to get mix veg paste(baby food,which is recommend by Dr.Jenny when the gp dont eat) when the rainning stop

I'm still searching more information abt this is the web now and may Jasper get well soon.

Btw, Dr.Jenny also do a checkup for Jingle. She do a ultrasounds for Jingle coz she suspect Jingle was pregnant as she can feel the baby's bone in Jingle's dummy. It is a bit difficult for Dr.Jenny to scan coz Jingle has a lots of flur(even is short) and Dr.Jenny have to shave some of her flur. Finally, Dr.Jenny able find a the baby's heart beat in the ultrasound and seems only 1 heart beat.

After taking the weight, Jingle was abt 820grams whereby Jasper is only 640grams(Both of them was having the same weight (620grams) in Jan09, and now seems Jasper is reducing weight due to his sickness)Dr.Jenny is a bit worried that the baby will be over size and it might have difficulties when Jingle giving birth. So i need to monitor Jingle's everyday.

Suddenly both of them also having problem....i'm really can't take the pressure and feel to cry. But Dr.Jenny told me not to pressure and not to panic as they can feel it and it is not good for them.

So i'm need to convenience myself to stay cool and clam down. My hubby is on overseas business trip and i have to handle everything myself. I believe i can do it.

Thanks Chin, The reason that gp get bloated can be cause by ingested hair <hairball, since Jasper is Sheltie,the chances is higher to get hairball problem>, or food to lodge anywhere along the GastroIntestinal <not proper chew of food or accidently eating plastic beg or etc.>

BLOAT
If your guinea pig appears swollen and the stomach appears distended (a light tap on the side sounds hollow), see a vet immediately. Your guinea pig may have an intestinal blockage (torsion) and/or a dangerous build-up of gas. This condition can be fatal if left untreated. An intestinal slowdown can cause ingested hair and food to lodge anywhere along the GI tract, creating a potential blockage. Also, because the cecum is not emptying quickly enough, harmful bacteria such as Clostridium species (related to the ones that cause botulism and tetanus) can proliferate, their numbers overwhelming those of the normal, beneficial bacteria and fungi in the cecum. Once this overgrowth occurs, gas emitted by the bacteria can cause extreme pain. Some Clostridium species also produce potentially deadly toxins. It is the liver's job to detoxify these poisons, at a high cost to that all-important organ. Damage to the liver can be a serious--even life-threatening--side effect of GastroIntestinal stasis.
Many times everything will pass through with no problem whatsoever, but it only needs a small piece to stick somewhere inside. For a long time it may not cause any problem for it can quickly bed down on one side of the intestine wall or more likely a kink in it. However, at sometime in the future a piece of food may not be chewed as well as it should have been and get lodged when it hits that bit of plastic and then the animal can soon be in deep trouble.

Jasper is getting better this morning as i can see his pallet, hay and vegs is lesser. But his seems didnt drink his water because the water still at the same level of amount. I have actually put some water in his veg.bowl and change it often so that he will take in some water while he eating his veg.

Hope that will help him to get some water. His poo poo is more to normal but is not as the normal size (less smaller pcs) and his pee pee is still yellowish and even a bit brownish (maybe cause by the Laxapet because it is in gel form and it is brown like coffee).

I cant take half day today as these 2 days is closing. I will go back once 5.30pm and take him to see Dr.Jenny again later.

This morning my pregnant Sheltie SOW gave birth to only one baby, none of us aware.  As this SOW is a first timer, she doesn't know what to do.  When we found out, the baby already dead in wet and cold condition.  The baby was huge in size, as big as a 1 month old baby GP.  Sigh..what a waste.....

The mom is ok..when we found out, she was standing on top of the dead baby.

Chin, do u cut their teeth?Or u just let them munch on the hay all the time? Is there any other way beside the other two ways?is the salt stick ok ar? those for chins one?

why my piggy dun like to eat the timothy hay that i buy from chinchilas? they oni chew the leaves but not the batang........

i see, now i can stop headache about that, haha
