Vava so lucky, u also got this experience b4, me too .. last time my Ricky and Rui Rui also attacked by parvovirus and corona, i tot Rui Rui want die soon b'coz when she walking whole body looked weak , shaking and head not balanced, but now they heathy.

Added on November 17, 2008, 8:31 pmi consulted vet b4, under feeding puppy their bone structure will not be healthy. and also their stomach will not be healthy as well. lotsa cons than pro. Do-reconsider if u were to control your puppy diet to make them stays small size.

so pity, when she hungry how? dog will biting stuffs,

i frequent Wow2 Meow2 for kibbles. No doubt Dr.Mel specialises in dentistry, he oso involves himself in other areas such as helping dogs to mate; the last i went there, he helped a 'real' toy poodle to be hamsup-ed by a super big toy poodle. He said the female screamed coz of the male's size. LOL...
There was one occasion where i did not like his impolite behaviour. i was enquiring something at the counter. He just took Milo from my hubby, checked his ears n teeth. I did not know what was his intention.
Perhaps he was trying to find fault with milo's condition. He did say milo's fur was too long at the eyes, covered his eyes liao bla bla bla...but i would appreciate if he asked for my permission first before checking on milo.

Maybe u can try to get books specially written on poodles. They have very comprehensive guidelines on how much to feed them at different ages. Seriously, u shud never thot of feeding only once before they reached one year. Just like humans, after some time of not having supper, we wont feel like eating late at night dy. It's a matter of habit...not becoz we r not hungry.

ya smaller size of puppy cant feed so few meal. should feed small amount and more meal.

again this question nid yenlu come to explain to u why all vet sell science plan. wait i cal her come.

picky ah? if u started off with nice smelling kibbles, then changed to bland ones, then they wont eat lo...
u can get sample packs of different brands 1st. Then no need to waste money buy normal packs.

Ya wo..the owner (pretty gal named Gene) really said patah a few times...she said her dog very susah only can reach 11 mths. Next time dunno can have babies or not coz so fragile.

Science Plan is one of the brand that sponsor one of the subject/course in the veterinary studies. They taught the students back in the University regarding pet's diet. Can you link this with the reason vet is saying Science Plan good?

Further more, Hills Diet (and others vet-diet) can only be purchased in vet, and they get about 50% profit margin off the vet diet. Have a thought about it

Vet is doctor, a doctor is familiar in health and medicine. They are not nutritionist. However, I am not saying all vet do not know about the nutrition that a dogs need, and how to determine a good diet for dog. Vets works in clinic, not petshop, they do not get to know about the other brands out there.

Just read the packaging behind the label of the dog food, then feed according to what it writes there. Divide into 2 or 3 meals.

Actually not feed how many meals, is how much you feed perday.. perhaps you are feeding A LOT in one meal perday.. read the guideline at the dog food label, and adjust from there. Divide into 2-3meal portions so your dog won't feel hungry, or bloated in one meal.

After about a week, you will see if your dog is too fat or too thin.. then adjust by adding or decreasing the quantity of food, not cutting down the meal time.

I just edited a bit of my previous post,

To choose dog kibble, read the ingredient list, rules of thumb, named-meat meal must be in the first three in the ingredient list. For example, chicken meal, lamb meal, salmon meal, turkey meal, duck meal.. bla bla bla.. never buy any food start with poultry meal (cause you don't know what is poultry). And do not take Chicken as Chicken Meal. Its different. If Chicken (80% of them is water) is first ingredient and no chicken meal in the first five ingredient list, put back to the shelf too.

Never buy food that starts with poor filler and grain like corn, soy or animal by products. If you read any kibbles contains by products, put back to the shelf. That's the basic.
