sinv, u mentioned only brown colour poodles like amos will have liver nose...so if the poodle is cream now but used to be apricot has liver nose, means wrong breeding la?

ohhh...sometimes i see white (dunno pure white or not or faded from cream) has liver nose...not nice

b4 this, i only heard ppl said those dogs (any breed) with liver nose r more fierce than black nose ones coz in-bred.

my milo izzit? LOL...his bday falls on 7 dec, also an auspicious day for weddings...elsie cant make it AGAIN...keke...and i oso have a wedding dinner to attend..

anyway, i think the time is a bit out la...most people will be tired after work...i'm talking abt myself here...i off work at 1 plus...then need to prepare food then rush to NZX from cheras....coz i wont know wat time people might start arriving..so be there at 3 is the safest. If not becoz of ur active persuasion, i dont think i will go too..i was hoping it will change to sunday...hehe

i think the most difficult thing to maintain is its colour- esp at the eyes, muzzle and legs...i cannot stand the yellow stains there...and make sure its nose is BLACK...hehe

how to maintain? maybe u can ask ur groomer for some tips...

milo is jealous of amos' new toys...they looked so high-class... High-classed cows...LOL

actually hor..ice' nose is not very black...got faint colour of liver...

but milo's black nose is not as black as before... can fade de meh?

really stressed out keeping up with all these standard requirements...

thanks for praising milo...i think he was the roundest in the whole gang of poodles today..People's poodle all look slim or skinny...my boy short n round...what to do...like parents like son...hehe...but can still feel his ribs de...his groomer said he's not fat, just thick fur..but i think she just wanna make me feel better,...

Anyway, i asked his groomer to shave his head so that the fur will be as curly as his body's...but groomer refused coz she said milo has combination coat. Shaving WILL NOT make more curly, only more fur..it WILL NOT change fur texture wo...of coz after shaving, the fur will look curlier coz still short.

Anddddddd...at Pets Icon just now, there was a 4 mth old toy poodle who went there for colour treatment. Original colour is like milo's ear, then after weekly treatment become something like rui rui. And becoz it was short too, the groomer cut the legs fur in a special way that looks almost double the height.

ya lor...milo & ice recognise each other's smell...when i see them so close, i feel bad for separating them...milo only humps ice; dunno shud praise him for being so faithful to one partner or not...later he is not interested in other girls liao.

ice nearly bit amos' nose off when he tried to hamsup her...so fierce...

hmmm...when ice was sitting on hubby's lap, milo sat beside hubby to guard against any dog that comes near by barking...tat day at gathering ice only let milo hamsup her lo..but dunno after we left liao, she got other partners or not.

i heard shayne said once, ice let a schnauzer humped her...she just stood still...oooo...ice committed adultery liao...LOL

i frequent Wow2 Meow2 for kibbles. No doubt Dr.Mel specialises in dentistry, he oso involves himself in other areas such as helping dogs to mate; the last i went there, he helped a 'real' toy poodle to be hamsup-ed by a super big toy poodle. He said the female screamed coz of the male's size. LOL...
There was one occasion where i did not like his impolite behaviour. i was enquiring something at the counter. He just took Milo from my hubby, checked his ears n teeth. I did not know what was his intention.
Perhaps he was trying to find fault with milo's condition. He did say milo's fur was too long at the eyes, covered his eyes liao bla bla bla...but i would appreciate if he asked for my permission first before checking on milo.

Maybe u can try to get books specially written on poodles. They have very comprehensive guidelines on how much to feed them at different ages. Seriously, u shud never thot of feeding only once before they reached one year. Just like humans, after some time of not having supper, we wont feel like eating late at night dy. It's a matter of habit...not becoz we r not hungry.

Louis, funny la u...but it's true la...very difficult to raise tea cups. In Bow2 Meow2, there is a gal with a tea cup, 11 mths old. She said her dog patah kaki many times liao. Very difficult to grow big.
