QUOTE(huey80 @ Nov 26 2008, 02:52 PM) have u tried giving her bitter gourd? hehe...later no mosquitoes will bite her liao... hmm... durians it lick or bite half piece only each time. We also limit it, afraid will get heaty. But one time a few months ago, he swallow one durian seed. Added on November 26, 2008, 2:53 pm seems like they dont like bananas coz it caused them indigestion. Both elsie's cooper and my milo vomitted after taking bananas. p/s : i heard durians r toxic to dogs... Sometimes I give him play with the small un-opened durian. First time he thinks is ball and jump on it. So, he learn the lesson. Now he will approach carefully and smell it. Anyway, he likes all types of round/ball things. With orange, maybe it is called indigestion. When poo time, the poo is a bit "yellow-orangish" in colour. Can see the orange fibre strands. Banana, I hold in my hand and shove into his mouth, he keeps his mouth shut and turn his head away. Like force small children eat medicine. Don't even want to open his mouth to taste. Other fruits, he'll sit quietly in front of you and give you bambi-eyes look. |

QUOTE(christineyap @ Nov 26 2008, 05:47 PM) Sometimes feel pity. For the first 1-2 years, he was on dry dog food all the time. No can/tin dog food. No wet dog food. Then slowly, it starts to be choosy and don't want to eat, Until one day, got gastric and vomit blood. Bring to vet and say acidic burn through stomach lining. Now 4+ years old already still like that. Eating BW3000 for the past >1 yr. Eat half portion meal only. |

QUOTE(sinv @ Nov 26 2008, 09:28 PM) It is so picky, so we decide to use average dog food. No point give him expensive dog food as he doesn't appreciate it also. Ah_Chuan, How much are the shoes ? Bought from where ? |

QUOTE(^MochI^ @ Nov 28 2008, 06:39 PM) omg hahaahha cuteboi. u think la .. omg why on earth will the maid wana flip over her nipples let pple touch?haha of coz is coco the toy poodle. The first time I read your posting above, my eyes -> cutevb- no choice, i really feel like strangling her. hahaa coz she keep looking back at the maid la. even the maid also laugh.. wahahah.. hard to take pic of her. BUT SHE SO cute de neh.......... gotta see her in life to know. Then ROTFLOL... Maybe my understanding of English is a bit low Anyway, mine is the same. After >1 yr old, he doesn't like to have his picture taken. Always turn the head away when he saw the camera or h/p aimed at him. So, also hold like how you hold its neck. The only way is for the cameraman to hold a piece of dog-treat above the camera flash. |

Our vet says poodles are choosy/picky eaters. Initially we don't believe, as from 1-18 months old, he gobbles down everything. Can finish a meal in 1-2 minutes.
After 2 yrs old, he starts to be picky. We change many brands and types of kibbles, but to no avail. Now we don't feed him anything (food except water) from 12pm till 8pm. Then give him kibbles, he'll take 10-20 minutes to eat half of it. After that rest 30-60 minutes and can give snacks, treats. Unfinished kibbles, tomorrow 7am try to offer him. Sometimes eat another half, sometimes don't. |

I think the dog is beaten/tortured in previous environment -> timid/scared.
The dog eat its own poo and drink pee is because it is scared the owner found out, hence eat and drink to try to hide it away. Need time to retrain and get back its confidence. I also think poodle has short attention span time, and always very curious about its surrounding environment/people. |

QUOTE(huey80 @ Jan 28 2009, 10:05 PM) woof woof miao miao (the old outlet, not the new one)Actually I think they intend to increase the grooming price from double to triple digit since 2008. They are hinting about poodles tricky fur/hair lah, tangles lah, etc. |

QUOTE(huey80 @ Jan 29 2009, 01:02 PM) Ohh...i've only brought Milo there to cut his head for rm5 coz just a bit of touch-up. Do u normally wait there to see the grooming process or u leave ur baby there and pick up later? i really cannot tolerate seeing indon maids doin the cutting of nails or brushing. it is as if i am paying rm80 for any tom, d*** n harry to handle my dog. Initial first few times, we wait for couple of hours there. Nowadays, we drop him there in the morning, then go back or shopping, wait for call in the afternoon/evening. Then come again to pick up.QUOTE(sinv @ Jan 29 2009, 01:31 PM) yep, they try to hint/charge additional for extra tangle, but we old clients, always pay same rate. |
