like work_tgr said, the answer is either A or D.
if A, K + HCL -> KCL +H2
if D, Mg + HNO3 -> Mg(NO3)2 + H2

*both of the equation is not balanced

A piece of stone weighing 600 g at 28 degree celcius is put into a beaker which contain 1.2 kg of water at 50 degree celcius. calculate the final temperature of the water and the stone.
(Specific heat capacity=4200, specific heat capacity of stone=840)

QUOTE(tonnect91 @ Nov 1 2008, 10:17 PM)
The water will cool down after putting in the stone right? So the final temperature of water should be 50-T because T<50.

As for the stone, its final temperature will increase so T-28 for T>28.

[T = final temperature]
*
ohh.the water will cool the stone, so thats why its final temperature is T>28. i get it now. thank u ! thumbup.gif
