QUOTE(sasaug @ Oct 29 2008, 08:51 PM)
p=m/v
m/v = density

Now i know...
*
Your p is pressure or roll (how you spell that)?

Pressure = Force/Volume
Roll or Density = Mass/Volume

Roll and density is the same fyi.

QUOTE(pwincess @ Oct 29 2008, 09:37 PM)
another question.

When a horizontal force is applied on a 3kg wooden block, the block moves at a uniform velocity. If the force is increased up to 18N, what is the (new) acceleration of the block?
*
F=ma?
18 = 3a
a = 6ms-2

the uniform velocity meant there is no resultant force (or friction).
Or is it? laugh.gif

Not too sure

Tonnect91, I have a question about moral essay.

About the 4 sentence format, do we need to write the definition of the nilai such that there is a relation of the definition to the essay question? Or can i just write out the definition without any relation to the question?
*
Ok every question in Moral regarding definisi need to have relation with the situasi UNLESS they ask for maksud nilai. This include essay question. You can't just blindly write out the definisi. Check the example given biggrin.gif

Constant velocity means zero acceleration.
So following F=ma, the resultant force needs to be zero, to cause the acceleration = 0.
Thus there is a frictional force needed to cause the resultant force = 0
So, I think they left out a 6N of horizontal force.

Then, the calculation will be like this.
18-6 = 3a
12 = 3a
a = 4ms-2

Not quite too sure again.
Someone can verify or acknowledge what I'm trying to say?
If I'm wrong, correct me too.
Thanks

x is at the bottom of the tube. at that point, the mercury pressure will also include the pressure from the mercury inside the tube.
ignore this ... I think it is not correct.

-- but this question is tricky.
20cmHg might be correct and it depends on how your teacher interpret it.
"fight" for marks if you want.
