wear shorter heels, buy shoes with soft inner soles

wear heels only when you don't have to perform much energetic activities.

just my 2 cents smile.gif

what brand is ur high heels? perhaps the sole design is not suitable for ur foot leh... try other shops one smile.gif

some shoes are really really designed not for walking though! so only wear when u're doing minimal walking, e.g. formal dinner ;p

I think choosing the right pair of heels are important..But that said, it's so hard when the pair u try and fall in love with in the store are so comfortable even for 10 minutes before u decide to buy them, but gives u nightmares after u leave with it! :/

i would say, "practice makes perfect!". u should always wear heels until you'll get used to it. start with kitten heels...
... and i agreed with joey that wedges would be better cuz they're more balance.

erm.. dont think there's any tips lor..
ya.. practice makes perfect.
and you can start from wearing lower heels or wedges.. then you slowly get use to it.. and voila.. there goes the pain..

But still, no matter how much practice it takes.
The longer you walk with heels, it somehow will hurt for definitely.

that's right... especially if the heels are inchesss high. biggrin.gif

anyway, we shouldn't buy heels only for its look but comfy should be the first criteria to look for.

ahhh self torture in the name of fashion T_T

but as far as i noe, heels makes ur butt looks nicer...because it lift you backside up...and that when you walk...there'll be a nice & seductive butt jingle to it...that is if you walk properly with it =.=" also..your legs will look longer and stretched...

i guess women are strongwilled person unlike me ~_~

those party feet gel inserts by scholl do help but there's no way you can be comfortable in high heels past 2-3 hours, depending on heel height

i'm comfortable wit all my high heels... the most important is choose the heels that reali suite u but not choose it bcoz of its design or brand. Because sometimes branded heels cant fit my foot nicely.. i can feel pain even i wear it in the shop for 10 seconds... so i wont buy it...

yup, i agree.. the gel inserts from scholl might help... i've bought 1 pair, never seem to use it, keep forgetting about it... and yes, heels are dangerous for women's bodies... my friend told me that it's not good for the womb.. i dunno about that though, i've read thestar newspaper about 1 or 2 weeks ago in fit for life, the sunday star, a report on heels and women.. also nowadays they have those susoku foot pads in watsons & guardian.. might help too... wink.gif

I love heels! I don't think I can do without them. Only recently has my boyfriend convinced me to buy a pair of flipflops for more casual wear ^^;; Says he likes putting his chin on my head apparently XD Feel so short...

Anyways, I wear 3inch heels everyday to work. My secret is to choose strappy or open toe shoes. Let those babies breathe o.o-b Also, you will want to keep your toenails nice and short. Trim them well because they do cause pain when pushed up against the insides of your heels what with your whole body weight sliding forward.
When starting out in high heels, choose a pair where the heel is chunkier. Don't go for stilettos just yet. When you can balance in those you can slowly make them skinnier. Just remember, the wider the base the better the balance. Wedges are good but I feel that they don't have as much flexibility when walking so sometimes I end up stomping in them.
Another secret: I'm constantly on my feet in the office walking around alot but when i get a chance to sit at my desk, OFF comes the shoes! XD Yup, just take them off and flex them on the carpet. Bend your toes backwards and forwards and try to spread your toes on the flat floor. Put them back on only when you are leaving the desk again ^^

I hope this helps a little ^^

i think in victoria case it was because she's too skinny in the first place..

there's actually a difference between expensive shoes and not.

anne klein, although price here is rm500 ish, the iflex, supposedly for comfortable wear is still isn't that comfortable.same with steve madden, same with aigner.[ both available at isetan, and i wouldn't recommend it even with the price]

but the most expensive shoes i ever tried on, while i was shopping at 5th avenue, and 300 dollars shoes is heaven compare to less than 100 which steve madden, and anne klein are.

can't imagine how louboutin or manolos would feel.

yup. walking - get a proper shoe, minimal heels. smile.gif one that's comfortable.

i think heels are necessary for appearance but if you spend most of the time in office, keep a pair of comfortable walking shoes to go around the office. some ladies do that, especially those working in Admin / HR where they don't go out and meet people like Sales & Marketing.

That is what we call a Bunion. What is a bunion?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bunion

From the article, These factors are often considered genetic. Although some experts are convinced that poor fitting footwear is the main cause of bunion formation,[2] other sources concede only that footwear exacerbates the problem caused by the original genetic deformity.[3]

I actually dislike women wearing heels due to several reasons:

1) Restrictive footwear
2) Dangerous (balance and drain grates)
3) In event of emergency, it's a hindrance to run (fire, quake)
4) Backache
5) Deformed toes
