I have the same problem. I think it's the service provider that blocks the media server to only use their connection. The default internet connection is theirs too. I had to create a dummy internet connection, named it wifi and configure everything to use that connection instead to get internet working. Not sure how to do the same for the media server. Still trying to figure out a work around. If anyone knows, let me know.
