I wonder what kind of method everyone used to record a gameplay?. No...i'm not talking about using a camcorder and record it in front of your tv. Anyway, i found this video and he's using some kind of device known as "Pinnacle". Does this product even exist or sold in Malaysia?

aiyoo.. use tv card, record it. u'll get crystal clear video.
pinnacle is just a software to record it. u need a tv card that have either component or composite input so that it can be displayed in the computer to record it. |

Some camcorders have video-in for direct recording so you do not necessarily need to record from 3rd person perspective. I'm using a Kworld USB capture device but mine only support up to 480 NTSC & 576 PAL resolutions (via composite/svideo).
Here are a few screengrabs: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I recorded using uncompressed MPEG2 @ 640x480.. 250MB for 4-min video Notice the interlacing effects though |

similar..
Like routers have D-Link, Belkin, Linksys etc. Capture devices have Dazzle, Pinnacle, Kworld, Hauppauge. Some graphics card with VIVO functions can record videos from external sources as well. |

Of course. Many computer shops carry them. Many PVRs can be used to record videos. Hauppauge has a HD (720p)-capable recording with component input. Make sure you research thoroughly as many models (mine included) depend on computer CPU to do the encoding. Higher end models have their own built-in hardware encoder.
