 MySql- phpmyadmin

i wana ask if there is a way that i can set tat only my Lan Ip 192.68.x.x can enter my phpmyadmin.

for example. ppl want to connect through my server's phpmyadmin they cant acces because ip is not 192.168.x.x.

is it posible to do tat?

or is there a way to secure myphpadmin by not letting others enter my server's database

Create a .htaccess in your phpMyAdmin directory with

yes, open notepad and paste the code. then save it as .htaccess (remember to select the filetype to all)

if im using vertrigo server which means i have all kinds of software in a package

i have to place it in phpmyadmin folder tats all?

or i have to place it in mysql folder and apache folder too?


Added on November 8, 2008, 5:25 pmafter i placed the .htaccess
when i try to enter 127.0.0.1/phpmyadmin

it give me an error:

how can i solve this?
when i remove the .htaccess file then im able to enter the database
