Hi. Can the owners of TVIX 6500a review this product.

How much is it selling now?

not sure what sort of review are you looking for. i have been using one for the past 3 months or so, with an internal HDD.

so far am pretty happy with it, it plays many file types smoothly. am streaming mostly DVD files over home network.

as for price...not sure how much is it nowadays.

anyone use the TVIX to play flac file before?

how's the audio quality? Same as CD? Close to CD?

Can't find the DAC information of the Tvix.. wondering how good it's , especially for hifi application.

Anyone heard it through hifi system, please commend.

The 6500a uses Sigma's very recent SMP 8635 chipset for its video and audio processing. If u r hooking it up to your amp/avr via digital interconnects, then theoretically it doesn't matter since your avr is doing the dac processing, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

However, if cosmetics and user interface is important to you (i.e. if u r expecting Vista Media Center-like interface with album art support, etc.), then maybe 6500a is not for u. Not sure if that has been fixed by recent firmware updates.

the newer version of this model is TVIX HD M-7000A.
and it is about rm 1800

just wandering does it have co-ax out instead of optical?
