no brainer. razor thin plot. cardboard characters. mindless action. holes all over.

but.... why it take so long for someone to make a movie like this. dun ask any question. juz switch off an enjoy. I think the Chuck Norris part alone is worth it. After reading all those chuck norris joke, nothing come close to chuck norris dishing a chuck norris joke himself.

Love the part where Bruce Willis screams back at Arnie, "You've been back enough already!" when Arnie says "I'll be back!".
Watched it the third time and its still as fun. But the first time is still the best. Looking at those action stars appear one by one and coming together at the end just gave me goosebumps.

I'm not too familiar with Chuck Norris. I was more of a Stallone and Arnie fan back then. Was there any jokes related to him? Maybe the cobra or lone wolf part? And isn't he more into martial arts where he should be fighting instead of shooting?

total combined age of all the stars stood at an outstanding 573 years. That is 573 years of action i just saw earlier. how do you top that??? Expandables 3 maybe.

Looks like someone is serious about doing an all female Expendables.

I don't know about you guys but I don't find a bunch of old hags kicking ass very appealing. But if they can get the younger/sexier ones like Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, or Anne Hathaway...now that would be something.

Jet Li has little screen time, but his fighting scenes sum it all! If there's EX3, bring back Jet Li...I want to see him kicking some asses and punch some heads!

Overall, enjoyed this movie till the max, old jokes, old famous quotes, old school battles...

Stallone, pls bring in more old dogs for EX3! If you decided to exclude Jet Li, please at least Jackie Chan or Donnie Yen to replace Li

jackie chan !

just watched universal soldier 3 on tv.

bloodsport, UFF style fights... we didn't see too much at EX2 but i guess it was an overload of testosterone of old legends with each having to show their own trademark that made them such icons in the movies.

chances are it won't make much at the movie grosses, the new wave audience are more into the other 'men' whistling.gif

While I like the jokes in the movies, I love the banters between ALL OF THEM the most. thumbup.gif

When Barney and his gang were being attacked by a group a woman and Lee said, "The safest spot is to stand in front of them." was funny. Seconds later, they're all sharing their origins when asked where they're from.

Barney: United States.
Lee: Speak for yourself.
Gunner: I'm from Sweden
Caesar: Bla Bla Bla
Toll: Bla Bla Bla
Barney: ARE YOU GUYS DONE! laugh.gif

The way the movie patrons responded to Lee in the robe was just cool.

When the priest (Lee) started to walk and talk in a foreign language (or gibberish), the whole cinema giggled and when he suddenly spoke in English and started to recite marriage vows of all things, the whole cinema laughed but it was when he raised his head and said, "... Man and Knife (Wife), the whole cinema went bonkers... LOL... and next thing you know, The Transporter graced the big screen!

Haha... Oh man... It was awesome! rclxm9.gif

norris is only famous 4 his fight scene with bruce lee...come the 80s,,,all his movies r not so high profile like stallone n schwarzenegger movies...then the 90s he bcum famous 4 the TV show walker texas ranger...thats about it...u can watch delta force series n missing in action series 2 start your chuck norris 80s marathon

then this 4 me is his best 80s movie ever...directed by non-other than the great andrew davis from above the law n under siege with seagal

nah i think jet li small screen time is 2 give way 4 willis n schwarzenegger n norris n JCVD appearance in the remaining 3/4 of the movie...4 EX 3,,,i think they should stretch up 2 more than 2 hours instead of the usual 100 minutes if they want 2 combined all the major casts from the 1st n 2nd movie with the other new faces...that is my take on the next EX3 laugh.gif rclxms.gif

farneee movie... great to see the legends all in one movie.. not exactly hamming it up but poking fun banter at their previous roles.. very farnee very nais... not complicated or deep enough and is not pretentious enough to even bother with it (whoohoo)..
agree jet li too short appearance. guess one asian at a time is enough quota (the chick taking over)... agree jackie chan should be in next movie.. maybe as a bad guy.. fighting jet li.. would be awesome.
one thing though... i do with theres a young hot chick in here somewhere that keeps popping up... no, maggie is not pretty enough

Its confirmed that Norris won't join the next Expendables (if there will be one).
http://www.beyondhollywood.com/chuck-norri...-expendables-3/

I think its pretty obvious that he wont be coming back since at the end of the movie he seems to want to do his own thing. Probably goes the same for Nan Yu and Jet Li. Van Damme, Adkins, and Hemsworth also definitely won't be back. So there's quite a number of slots to fill in if they want to match the number of casts from Expendables 2.

been waiting for this movie since i saw the trailer. love the 1st 1, thus expect no less in this 1.

kaboom! turn out to be freaking awesome s***!

screw the acting, character development, story lines and what nots.. we want action.. and we got it!

the dialogues, the one liners.. i ROFL. man and knife? hahaha.. the part when they pitch rambo, mclain and terminator together was funny as well.. even tho it was a bit of cliche.. haha!

me and my mates goes 'fuuuuh!!' whenever a character was introduce. cant help it, we grew up watching action flicks by Van Damme, Lungren, Chuck Norris (spell checked. i dare not mis-pell his name) and etc.. when Adkins were introduced, me and my frens goes like "Boyka.. boyka...boyka".. well, i hope we din make a big fuss in the cinema.. but heck, its 1 of the biggest action flick of the year.. y not! =D

definitely recommended for those who is into the genre.

~ Chuck Norris has a grizzly bear carpet in his living room. Not that the grizzly bear is dead, but it is just too afraid to move ~

cheers

Was dissapointed with the screening since i watched it as a GSC cinema and paid for the digital "2D" version what they showed the crappy VCD looking version instead. WTH GSC.
