Anyway, in truth, Shin actually not that far from judging the standard, that why, they also hire some ccambridge dude to correct the SPM essay and give a different mark. That why, in SPM, u actually get 2 different grade for one subject. |

No interest in Cendol, hahahaha.
Anyway, Temp, if budget allow, I think ATI already come out with ATI 4650, which are preatty nice for a mid range rig. Actually, E7200 cost how much now plus how many W it use actually? This post has been edited by jim18992: Nov 11 2008, 08:48 PM |

But I think no problem one lah. Just care with what "nm" the processor are and what motherboard would able to support. My desktop motherboard are only able to support Core 2 Duo which still use the older 65 nm.
And remember the ATI GC model I advise u to get, cause it the only GC that I can think of that dont need extra power from the PSU to run and still play well. It either the 465o or 4670 by ATI. |

QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Nov 11 2008, 08:59 PM) let me tell u guys again la.. Ya, that what I heard from my friend, but I always feel it better to use a Core 2 Duo to play Crysis, but with that, it still not going to perform at it max. For me, if get max setting on graphic when play game or not are not important, important is if I set it to medium at least, it will not lag. even with ATI HD3870X2, your crysis will still LAG even thou u have Quad Proc... The thing is those games can't even fully utilize the 3Ghz la.... |

Lol, then should try 4870, maybe wont artifacts the first night even if u OC it.
Lol, I'm still using P4HT 3.0ghz, cant expect much from it. Plus, my laptop running on Core 2 Duo even with ATI 2600 are definitely not for gaming too, even though it can play few current days game at high or medium without lag, but still, laptop is not a place to game, unless once in a while lah, hahaha. Ya, RAM speed dont effect much, RAM size does. And GC with DDR3 actually perform better. From what I know, any PCI Express ready motherboard can support DDR3, tell u lah, if GC use DDR3 wont regret one, using DDR2 will, cause actually GC DDR2 dont perform like DDR2 on PC.
And as Temp say, u get an ok ok processor, and good GC, then u on ur way to play game, but Crysis is a whole other story if u want to play a the highest, hack even a 4000k or 5000k CPU may not even at it fullest in Crysis. Other game is good enough. Added on November 11, 2008, 10:50 pm QUOTE(temptation1314 @ Nov 11 2008, 10:45 PM) Ah... Shin say it 2k limit, so cant go to those over great computer, just get a standard gaming PC is enough. The Graphic Card... DDR3 or DDR4 or DDR5... don't care so much.. as long as your mobo can support PCI-e then ok liao... And ur friend on budget constrain... Last thing, long term rig? or what? Plus, other then monitor and casing, mouse and keyboard also need to buy? This post has been edited by jim18992: Nov 11 2008, 10:50 PM |

QUOTE(ShinAsakura @ Nov 11 2008, 10:47 PM) LOL madmoz... sama la. i come back home. switch on the LCD and straight press Firefox. That why, I say, for a 2k rig, just get a 4650 first, it not that expensive from what I know, 300+ I think, but the performance is way way way better then 9400GT, worth the extra money. Then if want to upgrade, then later baru upgrade loh, the 3650 still can tahan for a long time@tempt: oic.... thx for the insights, my fren say he need the comp to tahan lama haha. so gc if not gd can chg later. i chat with him now la. Added on November 11, 2008, 10:54 pm QUOTE(ShinAsakura @ Nov 11 2008, 10:51 PM) mouse, keyboard, speakers and LCD no need jor. as long as the rig tahan lama and suitable for gaming (not those hardcore type la). So that mean the 2k fully focus on the CPU? hmm, that can get a good enough CPU, maybe can even shoot 9600GT if sini adjust and there adjust on the spc and nego kaw kaw with the store person. This post has been edited by jim18992: Nov 11 2008, 10:56 PM |
