yup ure 30 secs faster infront of me..

add a rm100 more and u get another 4850..thats how much more expensive it is compared to normal 4870x2
my opinion, get the normal 4870x2 then buy a good 3rd party heatsink for a lower price..

man that's expensive but for "guys" who have the money ok la. i cant say notin bout that..the card looks phenomenal physically though

Hello,

A friend of mine have bought Gainward 4850 Golden Sample edition, had it for more than 3 month already but now when I play games, the screen keep on blinking for every 5 second. is it becau of my power supply doesnt support anymore ?

PC spec

Amd Phenom 9550 2.20
Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3
RAM 4GB
Window Vista
Gainward 4850GS
Gigabyte PSU 550.

Please do assist me.

P/s: he say one of the capasitor of the GC is already burn, but the GC still able to function and the problem exist long before the capasitor went kong.

haha..whats with the hate?
some thermaltake items are functioning well..just dont like radiator and cpu block..the aquabay m5 pump and the reservoir are quite cool..works well..better than i get CM aquagate^_^
i and some people here starts with bigwater 735..upgrade bit by bit..
water cooling also have it own downside..
i have to mod a fan to cooldown my mobo..especially the northbridge area..
*
hmm change ure pump dude and get better tubes
and heck while ure at it get better rads...
hell change the whole WC setup...

good WC setup will last forever..
ure case not consider a upgrade..
u need a full change.

QUOTE(tech_frix @ Nov 22 2008, 07:16 PM)
what do u mean by that??

dunno the other day heard they are going to drop gainward from a few vendors. who spoke to their management
not sure true or not.

oh yeah my usually rounds in lyn
go to all it.. to see their pricing and any weird interesting stuff they are selling..
usually buy accessories from them.
then once in a while go top floor.. and regret many times wasting energy going to thundermatch
then go to ate.. have a few laughs..
then pczone.. again have a few laughs...on what they dont have and ask the staff can i buy a ferrari here since u guys like to put everything to back to back order..
then czone.. usually they will have the latest but staff has no clue on what he is selling and by this time.. all the sarcasm has already no more in my body and mouth.. so will just tell they guy dont bother me...
then viewnet.. to see good deals.. they usually have on lcd's..
then only drop to cycom for some serious hardware...

i'm already using 240mm rads..full copper..1 coolermaster 90 cfm fan and another Delta 190cfm fan..
my tubes are a good 1 already..
500lph pums already good..dunt want to get a 1200lph pump coz i dont have any socket outlet anymore...dont hate bigwater soo much..not everything perfect..bigwater also have their own good stuff..
been running it 7 days a week 24 hours a day for 5 months now..no prob,no leaking..just need to clean the rads monthly..

for me it is not that good..but it served well for budget wc setup..
i dont like the cpu block actually..gigabyte 1 do the job better..swiftech the best i have ever use..
the pump and reservoir worked well..

the 2nd batch for bigwater use larger tubes and the copper waterblock are machined better

2nd batch of production solved some of these prob..and also,it use 3/8 tube..yup,i do admit the flaws of the cpu waterblock, not doing its job superbly..but it is good for a budget watercooling setup..note the word budget happy.gif

afterall i'm not planning to go hardcore on WC setup..i'm not saying TT is the best...but it works well for a budget watercooling setup..the pump are rated 500lph..if it is 400lph also ok already for me..not planning for power pump or super flow pump..

i have 2 TT cpu water block..1st production and 2nd production..i know the flaws of the 1st..yup..even on 500lph pump it show it is at its limit..leak a bit..but the 2nd production works better..way heavier than the 1st one..

i'm not comparing TT kits with some high end kits like swiftech, kailon or any high end WC setup la..i have done my research before deciding to buy an WC kit..i go for budget kit coz i just OC a bit..not like u OCs gurus...

and i'm more to solve what air cooling cannot provide me..stable cooling at 35C ambient temp(my room is super hot)..at my room temp, with aircooling my proc temp would jump to 50 at idle ..at stock speed...basic low-end WC kit can low my temp to 42c at idle and giving me room to OC a bit..

any1 wanna bash me more on wc kit?and plz..be gentle on words..this is a public forum..any bashing can take to PM happy.gif tongue.gif
