There seem to be no settings in Cydia to move apps to storage...
so I have been buying a couple of Apps from Istore and installing it, so how does Cydia knows when and where to move??
How does Cydia move apps to storage?, Hmmm

QUOTE(porkchop @ Nov 6 2008, 04:52 AM) There seem to be no settings in Cydia to move apps to storage... Assuming that u mean buying Apps from Appstore and are therefore u're on 2.X firmware, I don't think we have the storage partition problem on this firmware, unlike pre-2.0 firmware, where we need to reallocate the partition for installing more apps on itso I have been buying a couple of Apps from Istore and installing it, so how does Cydia knows when and where to move?? Logic tells me that prior to 2.x firmware, Apple does not allowed Application installation (eg. form Installer or Cydia), thus there is a limited space for the preloaded Apps in iPhone.
while 2.x Firmware allows u to install apps on it.... err...since u're using iPhone 3G on 2.1 firmware and didnt face this problem yet (unless during jailbreak that time, u allocate a large partition for root that are not usable using pwnagetool), why are u worried about this problem in the first place. You can buy and install as many apps as u want, as long as you have enough total storage place for it. Oh ya, and there is a nine page Apps limit should be 16*9=144 Apps (this limitation can be solved by using Categories in ur JB-ed iPhone) This post has been edited by psyeo: Nov 6 2008, 08:53 AM |
