normally is 3 volts LED... but i think you can get different LED with diff volts...

EDIT: i ever tried connecting 3 LED's and stick under my CRT (looks cool but stupid idea tongue.gif ).... i used resistor for each LED and i chose the 5V molex power.. my LED works well and didnt burn at all.. smile.gif just to get suitable resistor if you use 12V...

hey guru, lets say if using 12v power supply, have to add 470ohm resistor before each LED or just 1 resistor for whole circuit?

If we use super bright Led then 12v won't be a problem right?

i forgot which resistor i used for the LED but i know that im connecting it using parallel circuit... i've tested another set of LED which i didn't add in the resistor but connect in series to the 12v power... its 4 LED's in a row... as what we learnt in physic, voltage divide in series circuit so 12v divide by 4 LED's, each LED gets 3v of current... i've tested this and my LED does not burn after i used for half years... smile.gif
