V17 Road to Recovering ? So this thread V17 going to stay atleast 1 year ? ha ha....
Congrats to Mr Obama and I am so lucky to have a chance to experience this great momment for 1st black US president. This is a BIG kick to racism. F**k off racists.

I can smell the red army is cooking....better retreat now while we still can, after the celebrating crowds and fire crackers settle down we will see rubbish all around the field. sweat.gif

Funny thing is I don't even know all those stock trading terms, tools and calculations like candlestcik charting or something
I guess that is some good point there, sometimes the more analysis we make, the more broken arrows we get. Buy low sell high isn't it ? Just as simple as that.

I feel the more I get obssessed to the technical data and "information", the more wrong judgement involved.
Now what I do is to calculate the price I want, buy when it meets. Then leave the market until it reaches the prices I want to sell. smile.gif

Among many counters, my portfolio only has 6 stocks
1) YTL Power
2) Genting
3) Resorts
4) Public Bank
5) Top Glove
6) IOI Corp (Still looking for alternative in similar field to replace IOI)

What I concern is their growth, management, P/E ratio, ROE, cash / debt ratio and their business future. I am a long term type, gonna keep when price is right and cease in stock market. In fact I am a Warren Buffet rule #1 follower....... biggrin.gif No gimmick.

Oracles99, well said. I agree your point.

Perhaps you've forgotten that we still have domestic market, and i see the people around supermarket, hypermarket is still there, so our local people still have quite strong purchasing power despite economies downturn.
Our domestic market is far from enough to cover ourself, if we only to depend on our own shore, we could have been dead long ago. My 0.002 cents only.

QUOTE
WASHINGTON – The nation's jobless ranks zoomed past 10 million last month, the most in a quarter-century, as piles of pink slips shut factory gates and office doors to 240,000 more Americans with the holidays nearing. Politicians and economists agreed on a painful bottom line: It's only going to get worse.

The unemployment rate soared to a 14-year high of 6.5 percent, the government said Friday, up from 6.1 percent just a month earlier. And there was more grim news from U.S. automakers: Ford Motor Co. and General Motors Corp., American giants struggling to survive, each reported big losses and figured to be announcing even more job cuts before long.

Regulators, meanwhile, shut down Houston-based Franklin Bank and Security Pacific Bank in Los Angeles on Friday, bringing the number of failures of federally insured banks this year to 19.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. was appointed receiver of Franklin Bank, which had $5.1 billion in assets and $3.7 billion in deposits as of Sept. 30, and of Security Pacific Bank, with $561.1 million in assets and $450.1 million in deposits as of Oct. 17.

Taken from yahoo news about an hour ago, seems things are getting worse.... sweat.gif

Erm, are you referring to triple witching hour?
It happen in every third Friday of the month because of options expiring period that day.
Erm....I am not sure, but if it expires every third Friday then what much to worry ? I just read this from other forum. Not sure about it.

Definition from investopedia:
The final trading hour for that Friday is the hour known as triple witching. The markets are quite volatile in this final hour, as traders quickly offset their option/futures orders before the closing bell. If you are a long-term investor, triple witching will have a minimal impact on you.

Usually in this hour, volatility are very high. Options, Forex and futures are very affected.
Can up & down unpredictable.
Well, it doesn't bring much affect to KLSE though.

Thanks bro, too many things to learn at too short of time. smile.gif
