Based on my past experiences, "attempt to deliver" means that the postman had made an attempt to deliver the parcel to you, but unable to actually delivered it as probably nobody at your house to accept the delivery.

Or maybe the postman is still enroute to deliver the item to your house while you check the status.

Either way, you can always call the 1-300 number to verify.

"Undelivered" may mean that the item is not delivered to the addressee yet. To confirm, please call them up.
