I add me to the list plz, just bought biggrin.gif

Omnia 16GB FMG Set (Black)

Just took sometime to stick the Zagg Invisible Shield, i must say its really really tough for 1st timer, especially when you're a perfectionist zzzz, bit dissappointed with my result. sad.gif
Hope hope after 12-24hrs no more see the bubbles.

Anyways, want to double confirm, the box comes with data cable right? Cuz i somehow didnt get it. A bit confused cuz i bought both Omnia and Innov8 at the same time, Innov8 box got data cable, Omnia box don't have.

Overall, im pretty happy with the phone though i had little time to play with it. thumbup.gif

dRLurve .. Theres some people taking bulk orders for Zagg Shield still if i aint mistaken.

can any1 let me know what is the current price for omnia 8gb FMG Malaysia set...
i know SG set will  be roughly 1.9k
there is 2 promotion available in Msia which are citibank and maxis...which 1 is cheaper and better????
*
If i ain't mistaken its around RM2550-2600 for Omnia 8gb FMG Msia. I recall citibank promotion is installment plan? And Maxis one you have to contract with them for 2yrs, if you do use that much then its worth it probably. smile.gif

Hey Guys,

Just for your information for those who doesn't know, Summit USJ service center is operated by FMG, well everybody should know FMG is authorize distributor for Samsung phones, and Summit USJ is the service center HQ for FMG.

There is another service center at Federal Highway called Samsung Plaza (same row with Avon), it's operated by Samsung itself. It's service center HQ for Samsung. I bought my TV output cable from there, the price is RM54.55. Actually it's not accessories for SGH-I900, the cable is accessories for SGH-F510 (stated in my purchase receipt) but there are having the same connector, so it can be used.

But the technician from Samsung Plaza not having very good knowledge on Omnia and they even don't know what's DXHJ1 stand for and therefore they claimed H3 is the newer firmware than J1.  shakehead.gif  this is maybe not many people send their mobile phone to Samsung Plaza due to the fact that not many of us know they actually provide service to mobile phones as well, at least I also don't know before this.
*
Have you tried it? Fun or not? Hehehe...
Tomorow i go get it, along with one that suits Innov8.

The sad part is, i still haven't got my data cable or a black stylus. Now i'm kinda stuck with Black Omnia / White Stylus.. Hmmm... Waiting for the seller to change it for me. hmm.gif

nice casing..i got mine from pdair..

and those who want to get the invisible shield please forget about it..sticking it into your omnia does not look so easy as in the video and the so call shield will fade in color becoming blacking which makes your omnia look very dirty...stay away from invi shield..

and it makes your touch screen hard to use..
*
Don't forget about it if you're a clumsy person or scare to scratch your phone. Yes i agree too it ain't as easy as it looks in video. 3rd day with Invisible Shield, still no get black yet though. After sticking it, gliding your stylus on the screen is a problem as the shield would give you a rubbery grip, but as long as you are poking it, it is not much a problem and can get used to.

So its either, sacrifice a little looks and gliding convenience for extra protection Or the other way around.

My case, i go for protection due to my clumsiness. I plan future buy again, stick again to more perfection. laugh.gif

anyone heavily depending on the stylus to use the transcriber and block reader? i used those almost 90% for sms or anything related to text

u guys thinks keyboard better or using the stylus to input text easier?
*
Im still waiting for my stylus which the seller owes me, so i've been using my fingers 90% the time, 10% time i use my keys or anything pointy, the advantage of having invisible shield on biggrin.gif

Anyways, bought the TV Cable for Samsung Center and tried it, pretty fun seeing your screen so big, unfortunately i had nothing to play with since my Omnia is new and don't have data cable yet sad.gif

So, anyone can please advise on where in Low Yat Plaza or any other places to get cheaper and genuine Omnia? I am aiming for Brand New 16Gb Omnia. I heard there are black and white model available now? The Japan version have better screen resolution!=D And what is difference between AP, FMG or Sg version of Omnia? which is better? What Do I need to check and find out before buying Omnia? I am a phone retard..=x Please help!  unsure.gif will be going down to KL soon, so hope to get it during the trip! Or shud I wait for further decrease in price? Any chance of improved version?
*
I got mine 16GB beginning this month for RM2750 FMG Msia, no freebies though... That was the best price i could find myself. I was advised to take black since i heard white goes a bit yellowish after some time. See if you can find any lower =)

That's cheaper ya! So far I had only seen the RM 2999 ones.. Standard package.. Haizz.. Why other places all cheaper geh.. Hmm..Logic logic..I guess you have the platinum black original one then.. Cos got one version is really black (Millionaire's package I think?). I think the original platinum black is gorgeous! ^^ Just saw the white one, not quite as appealing to me..^^ Where did you get yours? I am thinking of looking at Low Yat...  smile.gif
*
Yup i have the black version smile.gif I bought mine at one of the kiosk in The Mall Kuala Lumpur. RM2750 the best price i could find lo for non-online purchase. Least you have some guidelines of the price, wont let ppl cheat. There on, see your nego skills biggrin.gif

The seller was recommended by a friend of mine, and he gave me the lowest price i could search for. So end end also take the hassle to go The Mall buy. Bought both Omnia 16GB n Innov8 8GB from him also this price. According to him, he earn RM50 nia, so ok la, friendly guy so can buy de smile.gif

HJ1 is Samsung stock ROM, not cooked.

Added on November 22, 2008, 10:52 pm

You don't need any special ROM to run my theme. My LG KS20 running on WM6.0 also runs on this theme. You need to install Spb Mobile Shell first. Once running you just change the skin by applying the plugins. There are countless themes or plugins out there. Just use the one you fancy, pick and mix, just like ROJAK tongue.gif . For a start you can get your first plugin from Post#2, here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407487

You need a bit of skill to create your own theme but it is worth the while to have your own exclusive Home screen.

Another useful site to start with: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=389106

Enjoy! rclxm9.gif

2D Games using Gyro Sensor for Omnia

If you have not got it already, here are two games using the Omnia Sensor, ie like the iPhone game.

1. Extract the Sensor dll.zip files and copy any paste the 2 dll files on the \windows directory

2. Install the Caver_0.8.1.cab at your device. Before you install rename it from Caver_0.8.1.zip to Caver_0.8.1.cab  If you cannot see the full extension name in your PC, you must goto File Explorer>Tools>Folder Options>View> uncheck Hide Extensions for known file types

3. Extract and install the BouncingBall.zip at your device and execute program at the location of installation.

Caution You need to disable automatic sensor first before you start playing with any of this two games, or else your device will hang. To disable the sensor, goto Settings>System>MotionSensor, Select Manual.

Enjoy rclxm9.gif
