Yo guys, just bought my Omnia.
Does the camera improve with new firmware? It seems too 'white' when i leave it all on auto.

And one more thing, does anyone here uses ZAGG invisible shield? Can you share your experience?
I think the cheapo screen protector on mine is causing problems around the edge of screens.

What I read from Modaco thread many users of ZAGG invisible shield felt that the screen became less responsive to touch. Some opted to take out the front protector while only covering the back portion with the shield. I will try to find the link of that thread.

I think the original Samsung screen protector provided is good enough for the job, IMHO.

Mind to share where you get the zagg sheild? i tried to ask LYN bulk but say no stock wo. Any1 know ?

jimmysoo/other ZAGG user: Can I actually peel off the screen protector and use the shield alone? Wouldnt using both at the same time create a really thick layer?

i think HJ1 was taken down by samsung, because reading from the Bug list that was fixed in HK1 i think there were a whole load of problem in HJ1.

i have a question for u all omnia owners, have you ppl ever drop ur omnia before? i wonder if this phone can withstand shock o not.....for me so far knock on wood, haven't drop yet, been always be careful hehe

hey.....is your invisible shield peeling? mine is....although it glued on well when i received it. Told zagg about it and they offered a replacement. But i have to pay 4USD for shipping tho......have any of u guys experienced this?

I also have Zagg IS applied on my Omnia and it getting dirt at around the corner and start to peel off. I buy from 1 of the LYN forumer here. Can i still apply the warranty?

u know what.....its exactly the same with mine.....and thats not dirt, thats actually the glue that sticks the IS to the phone....and it will peel....trust me...

its perfect only after u have just applied it.

Talked to tan_alliance. said he will do the warranty claims for me for RM10. Gonna exchange mine next week.

yes....you would have to register....but the thing is that....they dont make much fuss...i just told them about it and they said ok. they give me a replacement. just have to pay for postage. Condition is that i send them back the old shield once i receive the new one.

wish malaysian companies were like that.....lolz...here they would ask you to prove that it is not your fault first...any small clause u violate....thats it....no warranty.

how do u guys deal with Chinese read/write..?
I was been told by the shop seller saying there is no chinese read/write capability for this phone and we have install it manually..?
is that true..?

p/s: i was bout to take this phone this evening. but the chinese thingy is holding me back.

well then...can show me how to type in chinese? is it because i flashed to DXHK2? usually no problem in reading chinese text msg

I have seen the Omnia design and I realize it is like most of the Samsung phones - very vulnerable to scratches.

So how do you guys overcome it? I've seen those plastic hard cover on phones and seriously, i rather go buy a cheaper model than using those kind of cover.
