im 24/7 connected to maxis data connections,
not facing any problem at all,
what's your problem anyway?

depends on area leh,here in utm,maxis and celcom quite congested...too many users here...connection quite slow some times

since somebody pm-ed me how to do it on vista.. i paste here also ba
guide to update firmware for those who r using vista32bit.. hope tis help

1. go to this site

2. download both files as shown below. u can get the HK3 firmware by selecting Malaysia or Singapore country


3. install the windows mobile device center

4. open the installed windows mobile device center and connect ur omnia via USB cable. wait until u get the connected icon as shown below


5. once u get the connected icon, select the latest firmware u wan to flash ur omnia with.


6. double click it, tick the circled tickbox. click the verify device and ur omnia will download all the necessary files and flash itself. everything will run by itself. u jus need to wait. everything else, jus follow the instruction shown on ur monitor or omnia.


7. once the update completed, ur omnia will reboot twice.

notes:
*backup all ur data 1st before updating, files and documents stored in My Storage wont be affected
*when u r flashing ur omnia, don do it when ur battery life is low
*do not plug off cable or do anything to ur omnia when the phone is updating
*wait till 2nd reboot only do screen calibration. if u do it on the 1st reboot, u need to redo again on the 2nd reboot
*DO IT AT UR OWN RISK!!

will monitor and revert on my findings with this rom.

the bluetooth is ok, using wf my NK E65 all the while.. resetted the handsfree n paired wf Omnia, can add but cannot activate it's handsfree function.. headache...

I just bought myself an Omnia on 31st Dec 2008.
So far I guess the phone is pretty great. Just that the battery life kinda sucks. First time on WM
Does anyone know how much is the battery?
And if I use leaked ROMs, would it invalidate my warranty?

i'm no turning back...only forward still on L2 and will only flash when L3 comes out or a better ROM

So, you're saying that L2 has the best battery life?

Samsung original battery = RM150 (market price)
Samsung original car charger = RM70 (market price)

Can get those in Novacell or any shop that deal with Samsung.

already upgraded to HK3..did u guy notice the wifi more stable..

For WIFI - g is disabled.
Get SKtools and go to network and enable g - faster and more stable

When i'm trying to connect to gprs it automatically connects to Maxis Internet and then will be failed to connect lastly. I know there's a new setting that is Maxis 3G Internet but i can't find where to apply it since in the internet modem section there's only Maxis Internet configuration.
