hard to get the official bug/feature list. even secany doesnt give it out anymore.
but as far as i know the HK3 is the same feature wise with the other roms except that they have fixed a lot of bugs. where as HL2 has new features (online widgets and so on) but introduced some new and old bugs back into the rom. i suppose the software engineer created two forks of the same rom that's why bug that was fixed was back when they released new features. |

QUOTE(chewitt @ Jan 9 2009, 12:35 AM) oppps, yep for golden track need 1sec interval. i suggest using garmin que with gpsproxy. at least that's the combo that i prefer. 3d is useless anyway just the 2d map skewed a bit. prefer 2d Thank you for yr prompt reply and the valuable tips for GMXT setup. But actually I'm looking DIY tips for upgrading from HG2 to HK3 And actually my FOC GMXT already work well for routing/navigating. (Setup was done about the same step as yours + free maps download from malsingmaps(MSM) & malfreemaps(MFM v1.33). I don't know wether you also using the these map or not. To contribute to that community map, my next step is to learn how to do own tracking using Omnia without any special/specific GPS device or accsrs. like Garmin 10x or Nuvi by using only GMXT, tracking or tracklog not good enough. i.e Long interval causing tracking(road) not smooth enough. For smooth tracklog need 1 second interval, suggested to use pair of GPS Proxy & GMXT to gain 1 sec tracklog and need both software run same time. That why my GMXT run in abnormal condition as my previous attachments. My current GPS Proxy setting maybe not properly done, and looking for some advise if you face same prolem. Or maybe our Omnia device just not enough to run those in pairs. Maybe need special accrs. like 10x. maybe i'll experiment with gpsproxy and gmxt next and tell u of the results. and for diy tips for upgrading from hg2 to hk3.... look at the first post. i put some simple steps to do it by urself. Added on January 9, 2009, 7:39 amalso secany has released the last rom for 2008, dzhl5... also dxia1 is coming soon.... This post has been edited by karlbum: Jan 9 2009, 07:39 AM |

QUOTE(chewitt @ Jan 9 2009, 10:03 PM) Thank you...again...Bro karlbum, regrdg firmware upgrading, actually you did suggest it earlier in last PM, but I missed read it. haih so many q. i answer a bit la.For Golden track, seems that you've done it. Question: 1. Are you using free garmin que or buy online or else 2. Your experience with gpsproxy + garmin que --> using Omnia or other ppc. 3. Is it possible to install gpsproxy + FOC garmin que, in our Omnia, without remove FOC GMXT --> any conflict? 4. If OK, could you pls share guideline. 5. Do you "rock" in malsingmaps community? My previous trial: Using wsian's modified gpsproxy + free que = unsuccesful Last Aug 08, I'd failed setup garmin que properly. Frequently hang and not speak. Then give up gpsproxy and proceed with only GMXT. Thanks. 1. i use free garmin que. all garmin que are free what no need to ahem or anything.. 2. i use gpsproxy + garmin que on my o2 mini. all of my tracks are dont via those two. plus i use a bluetooth gps (mini dont have gps) 3. as far as i know it is possible to install both. but a little bit tricky and the technical ppl at malsingmaps suggest only use one. 4. for all the info u need about installing u can always refer to the wiki there at malsingmaps. (VERY EXTENSIVE) 5. i'm a valued contributor at both malsingmaps and malfreemaps. if that is what u mean by rock. but no longer active... too much work to do not much time to drive along unknown roads finally, if u want info on how to install gmxt or que. better ask at malsingmaps... they deal with all sorts of ppc. but dont ask for ahem stuff. u might get banned. for that there is always 4pda.ru (use google to translate) |
