Really? I've been looking for this info..man this is suck.. mad.gif mad.gif

I guess maybe don't wait for winmo 6.5 afterall since 7 will come out maybe by end of this year..duh..really love to have those new OS.. cry.gif

But then, i'll wait for the latest iphone that supposed to come out by this summer.. if video call included, i'll grab it..I'll keep omnia anyway..one of my precious phone..

I have look at the latest widget of omnia from a magazine..it seems to be similar like the pixon one..and nothing much to joy except we can customise it.

the new icon does not look essential to me at least..but acuweather will be included

for tv out...

plug TV out cable into either AV 1 or 2 or 3...whichever and select your TV to AV 1 or 2 or 3 (which u have plugged in) by using the TV remote - viola
*
err..which one should that be? i meant to plug it to where?

I simply have all the yellow, white and red which represents the audio/video thingie at my TV so I plug the whole three plugs accordingly to the colour. That should be correct right?

If that's the case, then why I still can't get it work out? rclxub.gif

did you run the TV Out viewer?
*
yes. done that. tv screen still blue..omnia LCD went blank which is fine bcos I enabled the TV-out power saving.

ok, so what's the setting for broadcast nation? ours is PAL or NTSC? or is it depends on type of tv? any other setting?

now TV so canggih, set to Auto will do and it doesn't hurt to try PAL or NTSC to see picture do appear on TV  whistling.gif

Now, i suspect my 'ol plain tv as the culprit..

heheh to avoid embarassment of can't make the tv-out works.. biggrin.gif

but seriously, i believe everything has been put in place, the cable, the AV channel, th eTV-out viewer..could it be the cable? hmm.gif

but i got it from the samsung PJ rclxub.gif

Added on February 20, 2009, 3:24 pmOk omnians,

a question, what is your wishlist for omnia that you hope to get from the next official fw? ( i said official one not the plenty-of-new-thing in the cooked one)

1. I wish they let us use the front camera in self-potrait mode..seriously it's a big let down to not having it..i believe fw upgrade should rectify it

2. do something so any voice command program will work with the bluetooth headset

3. fully customized widget..meaning to say not simply what the official samsung that offered, but any third party icon should be included as well

4. nicer UI like what the spb has to offer

anyone wish to add?

an uh..in terms of hardware/accessories, i hope samsung come up with more customise item on omnia..right now everything is shared with other model..and i hope samsung can provide a much better cable, like a 3-in-1 cable for sync, tv-out and charge

My TV Out worked fine. I used PAL as my setting. Perhaps it is your TV set that is the problem. Did you switch to the channel that the cables were connected to. i.e. AV.

You should see your omnia screen on the TV.

update:

about the TV-out, nothing is wrong with our precious omnia guys..it worked fine with other tv set. watchin' iron man on tv is a breeze..as expected that plain old tv is the culprit..guess it's time for new LCD TV coming in rclxms.gif

Encounter new problems now..not new per se as I have realized it sometime before:

1. Touch player: when you fast forward by scrolling the time forward, then switch to full screen, the application will shut down. weirdly, this does not happen every time..

2. MMS video: is it me or our omnia can't take more than 10-11 sec of video in MMS mode? or is it depends on the phone memory?

3. Has anyone try editing the captured video by using the video editor? Does not work isn't? It says format not supported?

4. Samsung phonepad sometimes does not work

Please aware that I'm on the official K3. anyone having the same problems?
