Guys,
u all should try Resco Contact Manager now! http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/contactmanager/ It's still in beta..so its free.. well i give u quick summary on this contact manager.. - faster than iContact, Fun Contact & the slowest one Samsung Contact - a lof of features (statistic, card viewer, face view, export contact, hide sim contact etc) - well integrated (sms history & can replace the ugly Samsung dialer) - user friendly (finger touch optimized) - nice interface (again better than Samsung one Few things they need to improve: - they should provide their own contact editor instead of using windows mobile one.. - also provide interface to directly send sms to the contact since they already have SMS history Ok, enjoy.. |

Added on February 12, 2009, 9:22 am QUOTE(dahool00 @ Feb 12 2009, 08:42 AM) q1. does the m'sian set has 3 Samsung Home screen to choose from? q1.Our set has 3 today screen, Samsung Widget, Samsung Today 1 & 2.q2. if i decide to use SPB shell, i copy the cab file in any folder? (maybe storage) and double click. after install, i choose the spb shell as home screen just as i choose samsung home screen 1-3? betul ka the step? thks It should be standard like other country set..the only different is packaging accessories.. q2. yup, copy the cab installer into any folder..run & install..that's it..no need to choose spb shell as today screen because it will run automatically.. in today screen, the right softkey will be change to SPB Menu.. so, u still can use Samsung Today screen together with SPB Mobile Shell.. QUOTE(Cyphereza @ Feb 18 2009, 08:20 AM) Good morning Omnians... for me Samsung one is the best keyboard for Omnia..My first question of the day... Do you guys change the on-screen-keyboard? I'm currently on TouchPal any other good on-screen-keyboard? i tried many keyboard b4; SPB Mobile Shell - portrait keyboard not big enough..but many people vote for this Vito Zoomboard - portrait keyboard not big enough PocketCM keyboard - dunno why i can't change to big mode.. resco keyboard - nice keyboard (iphone style) but sometimes not so responsive HTC Diamond keyboard - better than Samsung..faster in typing and quite accurate..but have problem on uninstallation..need to hard reset.. TouchPal - i think my installer got problem..always error during installation.. |

for those who have a problem to align screen
maybe can try this method.. QUOTE Improve Screen Calibration Accuracy - http://www.howardforums.com/showpost.php?p...1&postcount=315 1. Open your Registry Editor(PHM Registry Editor) 2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DEVICEMAP/TOUCH/ 3. Click on CalibrationData 4. Value Data change to > 519,503 177,881 182,129 847,127 849,872 5. Click OK to save it. it's been quite some time this trick, but i just tried it.. and it works great..quite responsive..and i can feel big differences.. |

QUOTE(dario81 @ Feb 19 2009, 10:01 AM) guys... i hv 2 questions, and 1 question to tercupee, hehe 1) yes you can simply flash to custom ROM without installing official ROM first..1) im still on my HK1/M2D04, can i simply flash the custom rom (based DXIA2) without having to flash the clean DXIA2? 2) As i read through this forum.. it mention that DXIA2 can be flashed using grandprix.. but i dunno how to use grandprix, so, does anyone here know where i can get .EXE file for DXIA2 rom? thanks a lot ppl. tercupee, u r using mobileturk rom now? how abt the throttle rom u've flash previously? wasnt that good, huh? thanks again to all! 2) most of custom ROM is in updater file(exe) which mean u don't need to use grandprix.. flash it like normal process.. If u are quite confuse which ROM u wanna use (since so many chef there), I quote from QBUS words (one of the Omnia chef QUOTE - If you want to have all the original applications - please use Taril's ROM. - If you want to have completly clean ROM - please use Lufeig's one. - If you want to have balance between clean and all-inclusive, if you want to have applications chosen by you (including 3rd party apps), don't want to have a mess in your phone, if you are familiar with Windows Mobile (you know what you want achieve) then my ROMs are for you |

QUOTE(karlbum @ Feb 23 2009, 04:53 PM) haih so long i talked about pointui. nobody tried until now. i know about that..even they have fixed for contacts (device hang when u open contact)@maks_pain.. get the new version exe from the forum if u got some space left on screen. then u will get the version that fully utilizes our omnia screen. i would attach but dont know if lowyat allow posting of exe. plus better instruction over there what i mean is empty space between 4 main buttons and bottom taskbar..such a waste for Omnia.. anyway, just be careful..this shell really memory hungry.. try check in Task Manager..it takes about 7-8mb..that's why u feel very responsive.. even ifonz, SPB mobile shell, WAD2 only use 3-4mb.. |
