u all should try Resco Contact Manager now!

It's still in beta..so its free..

well i give u quick summary on this contact manager..
- faster than iContact, Fun Contact & the slowest one Samsung Contact
- a lof of features (statistic, card viewer, face view, export contact, hide sim contact etc)
- well integrated (sms history & can replace the ugly Samsung dialer)
- user friendly (finger touch optimized)
- nice interface (again better than Samsung one )

Few things they need to improve:
- they should provide their own contact editor instead of using windows mobile one..
- also provide interface to directly send sms to the contact
since they already have SMS history

Ok, enjoy..

try look at SG set..i think now u can get below 2k..but warranty only applicable in SG..
i guess many Omnian here bought Omnia from SG set and so far no problem rite?

Added on February 12, 2009, 9:22 amq1.Our set has 3 today screen, Samsung Widget, Samsung Today 1 & 2.
It should be standard like other country set..the only different is packaging accessories..

q2. yup, copy the cab installer into any folder..run & install..that's it..no need to choose spb shell as today screen because it will run automatically..
in today screen, the right softkey will be change to SPB Menu..
so, u still can use Samsung Today screen together with SPB Mobile Shell..

for me Samsung one is the best keyboard for Omnia..
i tried many keyboard b4;

SPB Mobile Shell - portrait keyboard not big enough..but many people vote for this
Vito Zoomboard - portrait keyboard not big enough
PocketCM keyboard - dunno why i can't change to big mode..
resco keyboard - nice keyboard (iphone style) but sometimes not so responsive
HTC Diamond keyboard - better than Samsung..faster in typing and quite accurate..but have problem on uninstallation..need to hard reset..
TouchPal - i think my installer got problem..always error during installation..

for those who have a problem to align screen
maybe can try this method..



it's been quite some time this trick, but i just tried it..
and it works great..quite responsive..and i can feel big differences..

1) yes you can simply flash to custom ROM without installing official ROM first..
2) most of custom ROM is in updater file(exe) which mean u don't need to use grandprix..
flash it like normal process..

If u are quite confuse which ROM u wanna use (since so many chef there),

anyway, i wish they could utilize some empty space on Omnia screen by making bigger icon, widget, etc..

i know about that..even they have fixed for contacts (device hang when u open contact)
what i mean is empty space between 4 main buttons and bottom taskbar..such a waste for Omnia..

anyway, just be careful..this shell really memory hungry..
try check in Task Manager..it takes about 7-8mb..that's why u feel very responsive..

even ifonz, SPB mobile shell, WAD2 only use 3-4mb..

PointUI is 'hungrier' than SPB Shell
but it has nice features..quite responsive.
the Applets (like widget) can be developed by anyone..
not to forget about themes..
i believe the supports will grow fast..

just download and install..
..see it for yourself..

well, it's true..considering Samsung has released Omnia firmware for more than 10 since August last year what else common bug will be there..
the only thing they need to do now is improving not fixing..

use wallpaper 400x400..but u need to change the wallpaper from Today settings not image viewer..

Another great keyboard, optimized for WVGA & WQVGA (our Omnia ) device..
