Been playing with my new omnia on and off after getting it on 23 Feb.
Been very busy so spent only a few mins here and there.

Questions:
1. I know that songs (mp3 etc) to store at root of storage in order for omnia to be picked up as use as ringtones/alert/etc. what about for videos, pictures (to be used as desktop background)? still store in storage root? won't it be messy w/o creating any folders? any way around this?

2. to have pictures for my contact, do i need to copy all my contacts from SIM to PHONE?

3. Hehe - i still do not know what is the best way to protect my phone. screen, camera lens, back casing have been protected using the clear screen type. the chrome area - not protected - worry holding too long with sometimes sweaty palms will turn chrome to darker color. how abt capdase silicone casing. any good? will the black one stain the chrome? i've tried plastic casing but VERY difficult to open back. pls advise frens

a physics question - will the magnet on a carrying pouch interfere or spoil the phone?

i'm talking abt the flip type casing whereby when you close the flap, the magnet is just above the screen (magnet is hidden in the flap - of course)

any prove ok or not?

sure "CAN" ... install the software from your Omnia instalation disk .. comes under application call "MIT wizard 3.0"

install it ... run it .... and ready SET GO ...

not only sms can backup .. also .. mms ...

and you can see the all sms text and mms on your PC ... Chinese and english ...

would like to recommend all omnia owners to use SPRITE BACKUP .....

no ..... i am not doing sell call here ...but what had happen to my omnia 2 months back .. my omnia suddenly "short plug" could not dectect "my storage" .. then got to sent back to PDA expert ...to load back everything ...
then last month .. I sent it to Samsung Phone service center ( lowyat 3 rd floor )  official centre....

got it flash with the latest firmware .... then got to sent to PDA expert .. to load everything back in order....
( this time i got the sprite backup working ... and i backed up everything ...and store in  "my storage"
then 5 days ago ... i itch itch trying to delete some NOT working software ...... guess what ...!!!! my omnia "my storage" ... went missing ....

I panic man .... !!!!
after calm down .. check check my "file explorer" ..saw this backup file ...

tick tick tick ... then all my software back to normal and "my Storage" back in good order ....
LUCKY ..LUCKY me ......

so ... pls use this SPRITE backup .... for the "just In case " matters ...
