OMG, the best game gotta be pokemon, i remember during that time, pokemon=all.

If u go up genting, u can just talk to anyone and have a pokemon battle, those who own a gameboy are not strangers as we can talk to each other like we known each other all my life. Best time in genting would be checking in time where u get to battle with all kind of random kids!
Unlike now where everyone is like so emo sitting at a cornor pressing their phone and not trying to know new people!

Another game i love would be dragon warrior!! LOL nv finnish it, nv understand it, but i love it when i was a kid!!

One more game i enjoy which nobody like would be the POKEMON JADE FAKE VERSION!

swatty's GB looks surprisingly new..... gosh that mario game! it's called super mario land btw, not Mario World.

it was the first game i got for my Gameboy, even back then this first mario land felt dated, when mario land 2 rolled out.... i was completely swept away by the graphics. it was like super mario world.... remember mario's bunny ears power-up in mario land 2? neat but totally useless....

would luv a revival right now but my LCD screen on the gameboy looks like it bite the dust liao.

I got my first Game Boy, a Gameboy Color, finally in 1999. I so far only have two games for it: a Hamtaro game (in Japanese, my first attempt to buy a game from the Internet) and the Japanese Warioland 2 (most likely pirated, box art a bit lousy, but I cannot complain because I got it free with the GBC). I had Pokemon Red at one time, but then I got bored of it (no one to link with) and gave it to my cousin.

play Gameboy when i 8 years old..now 20 already.....i played it in hospital to spend my time there because of little accident...quite memorable because it makes my hospital life fun..haha

err.... that's ok, i rather get a GBA so i can play GBC titles too. if only this thread started earlier, just went thru my GB collection last weekend to snap a pic of one of my games!

I had a gameboy once. It hard to play when you're suppose to go to sleep. Good thing they invented the new one with a backlight (Game boy light). My best GB or rather GBC title is Metal Gear Solid. Now I wonder why couldnt' they remake that for current generation portables.

i have the same problem as well, in fact it's so severe that i'm convinced that it doesn't work anymore though i never really try it out to find out for sure. it looks like a black pool has formed behind the LCD screen.... lemme see if i can take a pic next time.

Got one GBC too bcoz of pokemon. Amazingly the cart's save still works until now unlike many bootleg nowadays! So maybe mine is an original?

Regarding the screen mine has a circular spot formed from the edge of the screen. The colour surrounding near the edge of the screen somehow looks faded. Maybe rechargeable battery just doesn't go well with gameboy?
