Hm... personal opinion is that the oversized pistons don't really help much for the original 660cc engine as it'll only turn the engine to more oversquare(bore bigger than stroke), which in turns makes it produce less torque and needs to rev up to higher engine speeds to feel powerful
Oversized pistons on the 850cc block, on the other hand, is a very good move as the 850cc has a very low stroke, hence, boring up will bring up more top end power to compliment the massive low end torque.

can reach 9k rpm with 60mm stroke..850 cant do that
