Advice mate? Update chipset, audio and video drivers. These are the 'essential' drivers to keep Vista in a sane condition. Also, make sure you are running Vista SP1 - - a must ! Fully update using Windows Update - - another must ! Most Vista users simply choose to ignore these, and end up screwing the os instead. Here is my pc spec:

That should take care of 'most' the issue. Believe me.
If problem persists, try disabling third-party apps running in the background (check taskbar to see app icons...).
