just saw the dell s2209wa selling at Rm949. coming from a IPS panel, goign to take 1 liao. think it is worth it.

I have call them, they say that you cannot get it at a lower price as it is low already.

I second that, but for this price, it is certainly worth it.
I have gone through many other forums, they are also recommending this Dell 2209WA. There are of course pros and cons.

2209WA vs s2409w

Panel type = e-IPS vs TN. Hands down that the IPS panel will be better for color renderation
Viewing Angle = 2209WA have a wider viewing angle as seen on many reviews.
Dell warranty = 2209WA have the dell premium panel warranty which the s2409w don't
Panel size = s2409w have a bigger screen
Resolution = 2209WA - 16:10 1650x1050 , s2409w - 16:9 1920x1080(full HD)
Connectivity = 2209WA no HDMI, but provide 4 USB port. s2409 with HDMI, no USB
Adjustability = 2209WA has more adjustable configuration.

So it is up to you. Those who don't care much for the panel type will go for a bigger 24" panel. Those that want the IPS panel and don;t mind the lower resolution will definitely get 2209WA. So it is up to you.

Personally, I will get the 2209WA, no doubt.

Of course, it is standard for LCD monitors already.

It is still the same at RM949 or are there any lower price obtainable for the trade zone.

Most of the cheap and shorter warranty period are ARB units, customer return units.

From what i gather, Dell 2209WA is selling like hot cakes in China.
Monitor Review

Really the main issue with this monitor is that many people are stating that the Brightness is slightly higher compared to other 22" LCD monitor. Overall it is a good LCD monitor at this price range.

I think that dell is no longer selling the 2209WA LCD monitor. It is no longer listed on the website.

Anybody got news?

Ya i highlighted it a few post earlier. But they are still selling at the usa site. Maybe it is just now selling as many here.

It is using LED as the backlighting compared to CCFL used in other LCD. LEDs Used lower power.
