i'd just remove the YouCam software because it's a pira*ted version given by a friend..
and my friend just gave me a new one, with a licence..

but when i try to install it says
"This will upgrade ' '. Are You sure?"

when i press OK, then vista prompts
"cannot find file 1033.mst in ur c:/users/user/bla/bla/bla/xxx.tmp directory"

whats the problem?
i'd already checked that i remove the previously installed folder, and the registry..

The fact that you used an illegal copy - - it pretty much ruins any chance of giving further advice. Using an illegal copy DOES do changes to your computer that is not intended by the original software developer.

My advice - - get the legit license and then reinstall app using it.

I guess the illegal copy DID do something that causes the error... oh well.

yes, as i stated. a friend gave me that. now that i have the original software but can install it anyway..

the stupid tech guy at *shop name: Media House* says the only way is to re-format the lappy

Have you tried installing using the pirated installer, but apply original license? or have CCleaner clean up your system first.

already used CCleaner. CCleaner is a must. it's like my hourly task..

cant install using the pir^ted installer also. ask from friend and he gave it to me. install it and still the same problem persist..

demmit~ anyone knows a good youcam-like-webcam software?
and if anyone wants to buy the licence for u-cam?
