Can I think? Since it is a reputable brand... But then what I don't like is, every state got no service center, so it may be a problem when you have problem....

In-car hifi especially reputable brand rarely requires servicing so it is not necessary to have a service outlet in every state. If there is any problem with the system, the agent can help send it back to Clarion's office cum plant in Penang.

For your information, a lot of the Nissan and Proton cars are factory fitted with Clarion systems.

Then why Pioneer, Sony, Kenwwod almost every state got appointed service center?

Can the HU power up the amp? I plan to get a pre amp because I'm afraid the HU could not power up the amp. :/

Your HU will able to power the amp, so don't worry... But then it is already in the list of stuffs you already have, right? Better make use of it as your HU's EQ are pretty limited, so your pre-amp will help(but not much also, still 5 better than 3).... With pre-amp, you will have more control over your sub and speaker's sound....
Or if you got a way to sell it of(both pre-amp and HU or best still, the rear speaker), the money you get back may able to buy a Pioneer 6350 for rm500, which is pretty decent.... Not so expensive but got 5-band EQ(which is quite useful in some sense)....

I neeed some sifu help here, my bro recently install a Pegasus Subwoofer in my dad's car, previously he use an amplifier which is not Pegasus to connect ( do not know what is the correct term ) to the woofer. The subwoofer coil spring got burn, the people that install say the amplifier is not strong enough to coup with Pegasus woofer. After that, my bro change to another brand of Amp( recommend by the installer, said this is strong enough) with a new subwoofer ( still pegasus, claim back). Starting was ok, 1 to 2 months, same problem occur, the installer gv the same reason again.

Question: How do i know which amp suits which woofer or vise versa?
2nd Question: Will a low power/watt( weak) Amp causes the subwoofer to burn?

Please help...scared kena conned

Wired wrongly? Sometimes this maybe the cause.... Or the sub itself are low quality which can cause this also.....
