Hello ice sifus, looking for some advice and recom for speakers upgrade. I upgrade my stock hu in my suzuki gv to the pioneer avh 8450 about 2 months ago and immediately noticed the power and the bass. I wans'nt sure to change the speakers at first but now when i turn it on louder it seems the speaker can't take the power, and that with the bass all set to medium. So is this the poison you guys referring, lol. After going thru the past threads it seems logical to upgrade to good brands and good used speakers as well. I listen to all kind of songs but i guess am more to spl, but i do like clarity too. I know good entry levels components will cost about 2k, but i would like to go for medium level comp, only thing is the difference btween the entry level and the medium level alot. And is the pricewise difference alot too. I intend to put in a sub as well, so will a 4 channel amp do. Hope sifus can advice and recom some brands as well. Thanks alot.

Yes i know listening to some set ups first in other cars will help in making a decision but the problem is i am working in segamat, johor, so i don't have the luxury to audit some good systems, hence why i emphasize the good brands. I'm trying to identify maybe 2 or 3 good brands with sifus help and i can arrange a day to come up kl and hopefully the installer can let me audit the different set ups to help in choosing the final one. The only problem is i have never really audit a good set up yet, so I really don't know what i want yet, until i get to audit the good set ups. Is this a reasonable request, thanks.

Aah, garykam, you're from gemas, nice to know that. I do go to gemas to get some fishing gears from kong hai, you know the shop? If you are not fishing kaki then you might not, lol. Ha..that was what i was worried, dunno can stop the poison and the itch or going to add on more poison and itch. Well, i'm not really hardcore ice, that's why i intend to install a decent setup and hopefully stop the poison and itch, lol. Sure howie, after i listen to gary's setup i'll come and try your medic (or poison?) lol.
