Guys just ask some review opinion, my car is myvi recently just changed the head unit player and 4 speakers set total cost is rm1900 plus installation etc. for info front speaker is 4 inch size position on the left and right side of the dashboard, and rear side door speaker is 6inch. below is the breakdown :

head unit player entry level
Kenwood DDX417BT = rm900
http://www.kenwood.com/my/car/visual_navigation/ddx417bt/

Front speaker 4 inch (30watts rms)
Rockford Fosgate R14X2 = RM380
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/r14x2

read door panel speaker 6inch (65watts rms)
Kenwood KFC-M614P = RM500
http://www.kenwoodcaraudio.co.nz/product/k...onent-speakers/

Plus installation all rm1900 total. what do u think will kena cut throat price? ohmy.gif

All the sound i tune myself, crossover frequency front and rear setting, slope, fader etc all. The HU is not bad have 13 EQ band for me to adjust (62Hz - 16Khz), my personal fav EQ setting is the W shape wave pattern.
And to be honest no matter how i set the bass still very lost, only have tuk tuk tuk sound not boom boom boom, but mid and tweeter so far good kick and snare all clear, only a thing slightly matter which is mid bass is kinda low, vocal bass not enough to vibrate my jeans to feel it (i think i'm too much of a bass maniac person). SQ and SQL consider good only thing missing is SPL! i don't think add an amp just to push these x4 speakers will boost the bass any how because it's not their job to vibrate the car and not their job to pump low frequency. i guess need to add subwoofer already. my only choice is underseat sub because don't wanna use boot space. will try to add 1 underseat active sub below passenger side, if not enough will add 2nd sub under driver seat. oh yeah my music is hardstyle and hard trance, formerly club/disco dj back in 2000, i guess my ears is very sensitive towards sound satisfaction.

Yeah bro, i just added 1 active under seat subwoofer but the bass is still very not nice no matter how i tweak the frequency at the crossover. I think underseat subwoofer no matter how can't perform the good low soft punch bass compare with ported box subwoofer (behind boot those). i think is because due to the body itself and sealed type makes the bass reflex so irritating. So far this is the best of tweak can get to match play all genre song, i set the crossover to 60Hz now and slope is -24db (straight chop down line). If set to 50Hz or below the low frequency punch is missing (too low), if set to 80Hz or above and no matter what slope the drum or piano bass vibrate echoing too loud makes it irritating. For my setting here 60Hz the best for mix balance all genre music. Summary is no matter what still those back boot passive box subwoofer plays the BEST soft low frequency loud non irritating BIG vibration punch, those vibration which shake your chest u know what i mean. 12 inch the best to punch out soft deep low frequency bass.

Underneath subs can go well if you intend to play more rock songs actually.. i was impressed.. maybe an sq setup for you would be good tho..

Honesty, seriously i regret bro underseat sub, especially im trance and edm kaki that active sub was just good at playing the trance mid bass 100Hz range note only, totally missing the 40Hz low bass note range which trance bass basically all stay around that range to comfort ears.... after this lesson next year im gonna aim for one biji 12" very very good powerful driver with a good powerful mono amp.

Whats ur budget thoo

max max around 2k budget (mono amp + 1 x 12" sub) actually thought of 2 x 10 inch sub driver but 12 inch can hit better lower note which 10 inch can't achieve plus very waste boot space for compact car.
