hey i wanted to install subwoofer...but the shop recommend me this "E-TONE" 12" woofer.....wonder where is this from??....and i need only normal woofer..not those branded ones....any advise??

if u need a non branded and normal one, then no need to bother where is it from, it's either SEA or China. Amerion is quite established in m'sia, dunno bout E-Tone tho. there's a German brand called ETON which produces hi quality speakers. Not sure if this is the same case of ADIDAS and ASADI.
btw, i realize dat the magnet of the sub is quite small. so, it's really onli gud for normal use. not for blasting all night long.

oo...means not good if keep on blasting loud loud and long time??....what u mean the magnet sub quite small?....can show me an example of large magnet?? btw those jbl woofer costs around 300-500bucks ok ah??.....not to mention what other brands is good for heavy bass lover...price for woofer is around 200-400bucks...

and heard that if wanna install subwoofer....the rear speakers has to be taken out and use front speakers to do the job...rite?? so that will sound much better..is this right??

not to say not gud for blasting too long, just that the bass might not satisfy u. i dunno which JBL subs u talking about, i guess shud be the GT5 series. neva heard them b4, so can't comment.

for ur budget, i suggest a rockford fosgate P1 or Kicker CVR, at least they are no cap ayam and well known around the world. wat u wan is called a SPL setup, boom boom all the way. below is the P1 sub.

JL W1 and Alpine type E also around that price
and i personally think that they r better than alot of entry subs out there

my recommendation, sell both your front and rear coaxials, buy a component speaker set for fronts. sell off your amp and buy a 4 channel amp, to run both fronts and sub. lastly sell off both your player and pre amp, just get one decent head unit.

for ur amp for sub better take 2 channel or class A mono.....coz 2 channel bridged is better than class D mono....
this is what ive experienced with NEW soundstream amp b4....
but dunno other brands..... must ask sifu zenn to explain... heheh
