of coz la fakes will produce sub par sounds. installer would probly test on his wall with your cd, not in the car, too much work, unless maybe u boil it down to 2 choices, then maybe he would.

i suppose, that's where my dealer is different, in that he typically would fit all the different sets of sound system in my car for me test, which he did so i really appreciated that, and i was able to objectively compared one set to another.

oh yes, i saw a sticker from the authorised distributor on the box

Does good RCA cables really makes much difference to the setup? Speaker cables as well?

by putting the system inside car for testing, there's a possibilities to cheat since all the setting can be altered while changing system. The only best way to compare is 2 item side by side switching 1 another with a switching interval not more than 1 minute. Human cant really remember all the sound, if the system can be switch immediately, then the user will have a very clear mind what is the different. even for a deaf

componenet speakers
rm300, rm500, rm800, rm1000 and etc... all yield a diff sounding for a component speaker assuming the price bought is the accurate market selling price but not a samurai price.
in general speakers range from rm300-rm500 is usually local/china brand as premium international brand would not be possible at dat price.
they will still do justice to the system as its still consider an upgrade from stock system.

price range from rm800-rm1300 in general would satisfy most user. at this range it makes more sense to get a premium international brand as opposed to a local/china brand.

at rm2k - rm8k n above, in general is for user looking to build a good sounding system close to audio nirvana. they r not looking for an upgrade from stock system.

Malaysian local brand actually , im using its component set , not bad actually.
Quite worth the money actually.

Looks like nowadays got more cap ayam brand then branded good quality stuff. Worst part is even branded also made in China now.

I still recall the old days that ppl are hot with brands like Infinity, Cerwin Vega, Orion, Phoenix Gold and etc. I recall I have 2 Orion HCCA amps... that was very good amplifiers.

and why my brand (Mohawk) did fall to any type of ICE ?..

ahh teh old days
those days a 2channel 2x50w branded usa amp can cost ~ 2k++
nowadays a 4channel 4x50w branded (like pioneer) china amp priced ~400

Not too sure about how CAP ayam it is but I do have some Adams Digital stuff in my car.

I do think there are pretty good for SQ.
