Emm.... A 4 channel amp that has built in crossover would be nice.... Say LPF of 500Hz and HPF of 500Hz.....

make it easy, a hu with a 4ch then go to front comp and rear sub....simple as 123..

as for rca, most 4ch will have bypass out, just buy another 0.5m rca connect to the bypass to input of other 2ch....if no bypass, then buy a rca splitter will do.

crossover use the amp built in 1 will mostly enuff. as for eq, use the hu 1...

so can call my setup as a 123 setup?

HU connect to amp, amp power up sub snd speakers? Just like that? Btw, component I plan to get comes with crossovers. Rca thing stuff onwards I blur. Sorry for noobness.

thats what my entry level setup is going, least headache, and you're open for upgrading options/sell off etc

Easy but not worth... As you U know (especially when your are seller & installer), not all song record at same rate/level... this will happen to him next time & face it everyday.. Losing control on Sub woofer or Bass, make customer angry...

1) When Bass to slow, he will increase HU volume to make it loud unfortunately mid & tweeter also become to loud & annoying..
2) When Bass to loud, he will decrease HU volume to turn it down but mid & tweeter become slow some might not hear clearly..

WTF with this system... This what I told "Emad @ KF Audio" 11 years ago... Don't make others said same thing to you lorrr...

Added on August 2, 2011, 12:52 amWhat I'm saying here was... when signal came from 1 (single) source to drive your Sub woofer & component without "add another equipment between HU - Amp", U will loss some control like Sub Volume & Fader control (turn around- Front became rear). Bass & Mid control could not be useful cause didn't know freq range will be boost, Bass could be <90hz & Mid could be >90hz. Normally Sub freq cut point overlaps Mid freq cut point..

If your system connection using RCA splitter from HU to your 4Ch amp.. U will face what I'm saying earlier coz every signal/sound reproduction came from CD even amp gain also can't help here. As I said earlier, some CD/song recording at higher level & some the other round. That why people suggest you to change HU with 2/3 pair RCA output, for 2 pair make sure capable to switch Sub output.

After further research on your HU & Amp spec, U system didn't required either RCA Splitter, Pre-amp or etc.

What U should do just connect RCA from HU to Ch 1/2 & switch your amp to Trimode (Mode-set to 3). The amplifier will auto sum the signal and provide mono output for bridged channels 3/4. With this feature U can drive your sub without add RCA cable or Y Cable & others equipment such pre-amp or elect xo..

HU - HIFonics - 1) Ch 1/2 Component 2) Ch 3/4 Subwoofer.

But still loss Sub woofer control, cause amp did not provide remote bass boost control.

To be more precise, a 4ch amp.
Your JVC only got 2ch out, so we recommend you use RCA splitter (2ch to 4ch) OR sell the JVC and change to something like 500 buck Pioneer WITH 4 RCA pre-out.

Do NOT install pre-amp unless it is from the following brands:
Audiocontrol
Phoenix Gold
Alpine
JL Cleansweep
Rockford Fosgate 3sixty
and a few others, but generally none of them are <rm1k new.

One more time, simple setup:

HU-->4ch amp-->front component speakers via passive Xover and subwoofer (10" or larger)

I dunno how is the ability of others, but definitely u can get some tuning from EA without the "why this cd no bass" or "this cd bass too strong"......Because i do only let u listen to what the cd give you.

Unless u are using a pasar malam cd with compressed/decompressed audio source, then maybe u will say the above words, but bear in mind that that's the source that are playing with your system.....if the cd are recorded/copied from good source with quality, you got no chance to say those

When listening to certain version of "hotel California", you should had experience what is over compressed. It's impossible for "hotel California" to have a earth shaking drum that can overly cover every other sound in the music( if you had experienced one). It's only human preference to make the bass so strong...so do the sound engineer, he had compressed the drum track too much.

Alright. I guess my current HU should be alright then. I'll upgrade to a HU with more RCA outputs next time

The JVC HU can last you for few years.....

What I'm saying based on >RM69-90 per CD one & has been discuss over the years before in gr8tunes, mycarhifi & also others part of the world like US, Aus, UK, Sing & etc... Definitely not pasar malam CD as what U assume...

rm69.90 cd also have different type of re-mastering.... buy a teresa eng first cd and the latest cd that claim to "restore the original sound" or "mastering in xxx lab" and try...
