well there are guitars of big names such as gibson, jackson and other brands that are made in china. this is mainly because of the cheap labour cost. but don't think it is the same quality of other made in china brands. most of the guitar produce there are acceptable in quality.

http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Prod...the-slash-sign/if you are using firefox just search for the word china in the page. it says gibson at the gate so it is a gibson eventhou it is labeled epiphone. Added on October 31, 2008, 6:10 pmgo here for the tips on recognizing fake les pauls. http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Feat...terfeitGibsons/This post has been edited by akagidemon: Oct 31 2008, 06:10 PM

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Oct 31 2008, 06:26 PM) Gibsons have 2....... Epiphones may have 3. Korean and Chinese Made Epiphones have 3 screws. Epiphone Japan has 2, so does Gibson.

well, just follow the tips to buy a real gibson les paul. it is from gibson themselve. they are aware of the problem of counterfeit gibson flooding the market. another simple reminder " if it sounds too good to be true, maybe it is".

http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Divisions/Gibs...esPaul/Classic/take a look at this. it is from gibson usa. you can know the answer ur self. Added on October 31, 2008, 7:18 pmthe les paul-100 is a product by epiphone. it is made in china. most probably it is the authentic stuff but it is a epiphone not a true blue gibson les paul. i think the price is about right. Added on October 31, 2008, 7:32 pmthere is a same model on sale here http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/2008-11D...uitar_LP100.htmThis post has been edited by akagidemon: Oct 31 2008, 07:32 PM
