Im using the 2G 8gb version Fw2.1 jailbroken since some time ago.. Now got 2 serious problem with me... Hope the sifu here will help...


1. Last night when i download a theme from cydia, half way it suddenly phone restart (with the apple logo)... then when i check back, it cant enter the "Phone" icon menu.. I click in then after 2 second it come out to main menu again... I try to reset everything also no changes... What happen with that? I check with my "Show My Caller ID", it show off, but problem is i cant on it... What is the matter with that? I can receiced call and receive msg as well... But when got miss call it didnt show anything there just like normal...


2. After this matter, my icon arranging in main menu keep runoff eventhough i arrange back properly.. when ever i unlock my menu, the arranging of my icon everytime different... Anybody can help me with that?

Wah so serious need to restore?? No other ways? Wonder y suddenly become like that?

When i enter "phone" icon menu, i cant press anything, i cant choose the contact, recent list, keypad etc everything... It fork out to main menu after 2 or 3 seconds...

i have the same issue once, but it went away after rebooting the phone
if the problem persist restore lo...

How to reboot the phone??

Besides, if restore means jailbreak again? or install FW2.1 and jailbreak both?

Oh ya even the font i my phone also changed after this matter.. Its not the original font anymore..

u cant install 2.1 only for 2g phones...u must install + JB

aiyo reboot is just restart the thing lo...

same case once, i open mxtube for the whole nite running on the background the next day when i click on it, it just crashed back to homescreen, end up gotta restore to fix

my advice, restoring is the best way as not only it fix ur problem it wipe all ur memory clean ma..

Coz problem is after restore all my application will missing d..

Any way for me to backup those sms, contacts and application??

applications u need to install again if its from cydia..
sms and contacts after u backup to ur pc, definitely its in your pc d la..just use itunes to backup, if u r using windows right click ur iphone icon on the left there's a backup option there

restore is d best solution.......

try to uninstall the app that u newly install, it might coz by a crach of app.
try tis b4 u do restore

Seems to me a restore would fix everything back ..

Hold option and click restore.

That will help.

i guess...restore the same version will give u error 1604. try first...because ealier my phone having same problem. i cant restore the same version, keep on giving error.
so in this case u have to d/grade n up grade again.

If giving error you should repwn the process again with Pwnage Tool. And recreate a new .ipsw file and restore.
