hi...i am newbie for iphone,so hope all master can help...
currently i am using iphone 2g running on firmware 2.1, after i use pc suite/ibus to install pxl application to my iphone, it shown it is successfully install,but after restart my iphone,i still cant find the icon.i search from forum,some people say just delete the plist file,but i have try,still cant...any master can help?

pxl files? they still exist in this world of fw2.1?

Bro .. u cannot treat 2.1 like 1.x.x last time where u just drag n drop pxl files to install apps. 2.1 have different architecture and ways to install apps. Please get that straight. FYI ... apps for 1.x.x are not compatible with 2.1.

Hope that clear things up why there no icon to your app bcoz its not been installed.

yes, from the root folder itself you can see the different between 1.X.X and 2.X.X.

thanks bro...but anyway,i have follow the right way to install pxl using pc suite and it did shown success there...how?some forum say download cacheldel and install it,then go private/vgr/mobile/libaray/caches and delete the plist and restart should be ok,but also cannot after i try..

so whats the proper way to install applications in firmware 2.1?

First of all ... which guide did u follow to install the pxl file? Care to post the link?

2nd ... If u tried and it didn't work means it didn't work. Like I said ... pxl only used back then with fw1.x.x era. Now we don't use pxl anymore. Maybe u can read this article to know more ... http://www.tuaw.com/2007/11/16/iphone-pxl-format-goes-dark/

3rd ... u can use itunes AppStore to download and install app (paid and free) or Cydia (mostly free).

Remember ... apps that was for fw 1.x.x are not compatible with 2.0.0, 2.0.1, 2.1 or above.
