I have read one of the closed thread that says Core i7 are not for gamers, but Core i5 is for gamers.
Is that statement still hold truth today, since there are many laptops coming out with Core i7, Core i5 and even Core i3?
I am looking for an affordable laptop that can play HD movies (1080p), which after searching the internet and forums, I could only find a handful (Dell, Toshiba so far that I've found).
Would appreciate if someone can fill me up on this question. A laptop for watching 1080p movies, and also play some first person shooter such as Left 4 Dead II, Assassin's Creed II etc.
Many thanks for everyone's reply
Yes it is still true until today unless the tech has changed already. Is that statement still hold truth today, since there are many laptops coming out with Core i7, Core i5 and even Core i3?

Play 1080p movies?Get a laptop with a 1080p screen first-this will be a real hassle
Secondly, get one with a decent GPU which you can easily get in the region of 2k-3k
