sorry for the lack of update as TS guys. hope to have a complete list of the best / value laptop updated in the next few days QUOTE(Recuvaaa @ Jun 24 2012, 08:31 PM) i7 first choice... then upgrade others step by step... I generally don't like upgrading lappies. Their chassis & cooling systems were designed for specific components. As for i7, not everyone needs a super high spec PC. Some only need a PC for emails, surfing & surfing. Others will do some "hardcore gaming / graphic processing" once in awhile while others play 15 hours of EVE / Diablo in 1 go This post has been edited by corad: Jun 25 2012, 12:43 AM

QUOTE(Jenn77 @ Nov 9 2020, 11:58 AM) Hi guys.. need your help to share which basic model is good for my kids daily zooming and google class usage. My budget is 2k and below with either AMD or Intel Core (not Celeron processors - if the still exist). I've been browsing around brands like Lenovo, HP and Dell but couldnt make up my mind. TIA. iPad for RM1.5k ? if you need to multi-task, use an old phone (or RM300 Oppo etc) for the video calls and use the iPad as the "work station". much less distracting.

QUOTE(21th century apes @ Nov 10 2020, 12:02 AM) Hye all. Im looking for any good mobility laptop and good screen. For Microsoft Office / Email / Browsing Internet. Budget around Rm2K. New or used also okey. Im thinking of macbook but never use before. Afraid difficult to use due to different OS. Thanks !!! below RM2k, and requirements are word processing / simple spread sheet I'll still recommend iPad + bluetooth keyboard or keyboard cover. Not a Apple fanboy but their iPad line really hits the spot for being light and having long battery life. Another issue to consider is heat, on new laptops that cost ~RM2k or even RM3k I've not found one that dosen't heat up making it uncomfortable for anything longer than 15 minutes. Screens on these entry level laptops are also not as high def as the current iPad (or even iPads from 2012 which was already 2048 x 1536) EDIT: for MacBook, they alll run BootCamp so you can still install Windows and enjoy the MacBook form factor.
