Guys... How is the Lenovo warranty and service? I notice Lenovo spec are really attractive but I think Dell offer the best warranty and service.

And you are not sticking to Dell?
I do hear good things about Asus, but them horror stories about their aftersales put me off. And I do prefer Dell's more solid build on their business grade laptops. I dont think an Asus can stand all them abuses that I subject to my Dells.

Guys I could use some help. I am looking for a decent laptop which I can use for work and gaming. The vendor at LY was recommending me to get the Lenovo Z50. To be honest it looked pretty good to me.

I mean the specs were good; i5 4000 @ 1.7Ghz, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Nvidia GT820 4GB DDR3, 1TB SATA, and Windows 8.1.

Is this good enough for me and my gaming needs? Ive looked for reviews for this laptop online but so far nothing substantial.

I am just afraid that the processor won't able to cope.

Help a brother out?

For the gaming purposes, it depends on the GPU capabilities than processor. So yes, it's good enough for normal gaming such as Dota and some high end games with medium to high setting profile.

Cheers mate. I am not looking to run Crysis on Max level settings or anything just some TF2 and CSGO. Maybe some Borderlands or Arkham Asylum now and then.

So I guess this is good enough then?

Awesome. I got it yesterday smile.gif So far so good. I upped it to 8GB RAM.

The only thing that gets on my nerves is Windows 8. Other than that I'm pretty happy biggrin.gif

Guys, so I bought this laptop (see sig) but for whatever reasons, battery has been very bad. It only last like 1 hour (maybe the FAH thing but not using that and battery still dropping fast)

Should I buy a new battery or should I look into other problems? And usually how long a battery can last?

When you talk about worthiness ... it is really what type of users you are . What will you use the laptop for ?

For example you cant use a long range sniper rifle to fight a close proximity battle or even a hand to hand battler that matter.

A relatively well built device with decent cooling, a 144Hz display, and GTX 1660 Ti GPU. Also consider the pricier Helios 300.

9th Gen i7 processor, 16GB ram

512GB SSD, Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti dGPU

15.6" 144Hz display, 4.85 lbs, 3 hr battery

Today, the processor, graphics cards, RAM technology, storage and display have all reached at a new level. So, for a good and extreme video editing, one can go with 8th gen. Core i7 or better, 6GB VRAM graphics, 256GB SSD minimum, DDR4 RAM of 16GB and a FHD or 4K display with good refresh rate. One can even opt for Core i9 Laptop for better performance.
